SIL TTC - anyone had experience of Bourn Hall Clinic or other East of England Clinics for ICSI?

Hi - my DB and SIL have been trying to conceive for 7 years now and have been down most routes including 1 attempt a ICSI about 4 years ago. The results were negative and thestress caused them such physical symptoms they agreed not to try again. However, 4 years on, a little wiser and less blind enthusiasm, they have decided to try again but are looking for a far less stressful process. Last time they were at BARTS in london and the travel and inefficiency they were confronted with (including sending them away straight after procedures where SIL was unable to walk in a straight line from the medication)definitely added to stress levels. They were looking at private treatment closer to home (Norfolk) and found the closest looked to be Bourn Hall and they have since found they can go there on NHS and funding has been granted. She is now wondering if anyone has any experience of them, good or bad or practical that you would share and any stories of other East of England clinics as they are expecting to be given the choice at their first hospital appt. Hoping you can help...thanks x

Haven't had any personal expeience of clinics in the East of England (I had IUI at UCH in London) but a friend conceived both her daughters through ICSI at Bourne Hall, and speaks very highly of the team there.

thank you for response - I really hope for SIL's sake that they're good. It's such a horribly stressful experience and i have the greatest respect for any couple that go through this as have seen what strain it can put people through.

It might be worth checking out the Fertility Friends website. I'm pretty sure there's a sub-forum on there for people who are currently or had treatment at Bourn Hall.
I would link to it but am MNing on my phone.
