read some mixed reviews on amazon, so wondered what you wise MNers think.
Am 39 and ttc no.2 and had two mcs.

Bought it. Read it. Nodded along approvingly until she got to the bit about microwaved food being "dead" and that an experiment where cats were fed only microwaved food and water led to them starving to death because all the essential nutrients were removed by microwaving. At which point, my Ben-Goldacre-woo-alarm went off and I binned it.

IMHO, Zita West has really decent and followable fertility diet advice. Apart from giving up coffee which is just mean.

HTH.

thanks, perfectD. Those poor cats, although I suspect the food was too hot for them.

will look out for zita west

I really enjoyed it actually, but suspect it depends on what suits you; it's a little control-freaky but I like that! I picked and chose a bit, but got pg straightaway so who knows?

I actually found ZW more woo!

oh thanks, liuttle silver, so you didn't stick rigidly to it? what did you do/not do?

Umm, I didn't completely cut out caffeine, I didn't do that special salt thing (though did buy it!), I did eat lots of cayenne pepper, did eat better, but, like I said, got pg practically straightaway so didn't have to persist iyswim? Best of luck! (am ttc#4 atm and considering buying it again)

I bought it, and like PerfectDrom my intter Ben Goldacre started having a field day.

Dry cleaners have infertility problems due to the chemicals they are exposed to, which was extrapolated to don't wear dry cleaned clothes. Completely batshit!
