LH of 6, FSH of 9, what does this really mean?

I posted a while back that we were having problems conceiving our second child; I am nearly 41 and we have been trying for 6 months.

Anyway, thanks to the suggestions here I went to the GP and had LH score of 6 and a FSH score of 9 (3 day test.) He said this was within the normal range and to keep trying without thinking about assisted conception yet. (He did suggest that DP has a sperm sample test.)

Are those scores usual? I'm not really sure- the FSH looks a bit high to me.

I am still ovulating, by the way.

Thanks in advance.
