Hello I'm trying to find a home for myself on this 'Conception board' and I'm wondering if there are some others like myself who may be judged as being niaive but wth!
I am 41yrs old and have two dc's - 3 and 5. I have decided that I am going to have a third. So I'm gtc not ttc!!! Well you gotta start postive right?? .
Was due to lose some weight - sorry, am due to lose some wieght as BMI is 30, but dp and I sort of threw caution to the wind last night and this morning and so I guess I will need to do both in tandem - offer up the possibility of becoming pg whilst losing weight simultaneously.
Hope my rampant enthusiasm and shere refusal to consider anything less than a natual bullseye at this point, doesn't offend anyone. Just looking for a few more hopeful minds to journey with, as we've all gotta start somewhere. If there's a suitable thread existing then do please point me towards you!!
{I have had mc's in the past so no it isn't all plain sailing - but for me, feeling positive at this point is the best I can muster. No offence meant to anyone and I'm not wishing to invalidate any one else's experience.)

Just go for it! I am 42 and worried myself bonkers assuming it would be impossible and anticipating problems.. After a couple of months of timing carefully, got bored (frankly) and just started having a sh*g every couple of days and conceived in Month 5. Really hope this doesn't imply that I am belittling the trouble of all the people who DO have difficulty ttc, but it isn't inevitable. Oh yes, my BMI is 30 too, and it all seems fine - I'm almost offended by how routine all the medical professionals seem to find the miracle that is this particular portly geriatric primagravida!!

Thanks bridgetsbfI guess if the only thing you can change is your outlook then you might as well choose the 'up' side!
lol Elena67 and congrats!! How exciting - your first! Sounds like a good sex life.... this ttc lark certainly helps to crank up the action - that's another good side effect (at least it feels that way when you are only 36hours in to trying!!) Yes, I can see how the timing issue can reduced you to tears with boredom - I'm a big fan of the 'just sh*g' approach at least to begin with. I hope you are well and all is good. x
