For those of you who were advised to take low dose/junior aspirin - from what point where you told to take it?

I've had 2 MC's and I've no idea if I have 'sticky blood' but thought that as it's very easy to do, I might just take some of the 75mg aspirin. I'm just not sure at what point I should start it though.

I started it when I started ttc.

ok. is that what you were advised to do? Did you know you had sticky blood?

I was advised to take it from the start of infertility investigations, so all in all about 18 months before I conceived. I have Factor V Leiden, which is linked to miscarriage. I would express caution though, as there are risks in taking even low dose aspirin without medical advice first.

Thanks LF and Tatty - very interesting. oh. now I don't know what to do. Just wait I guess. The GP won't 'do' anything until I've had another MC, so I guess it's better to just not take it and go down the proper channels?

Although low-dose aspirin is recommended in certain cases it is definately not adviseable to put yourself on it without the advice of a doctor. Aspirin is not considered safe in pregnancy (or indeed for children) unless there are significant benefits which outweigh the possible risks. I know how you're feeling - just had my second miscarriage - but aspirin isn't the solution. Hope this helps x
