I have read conflicting advice about if you are TTC whether you should have sex every day during the "ovulation period" or whether you should allow sperm to grow strong and only have sex every few days! Any advice???

I think everyone has different views on this, I know I'm all for the every day approach. I read that in worst case scenario sperm could last 2 hours if cervical mucus was not encouraging and the egg only lasts 12 hours, so I think what the hell, get them in there

good luck x

From what I've read and been told by doctors, every other day throughout your cycle is recommended (you don't want to let sperm get older than about 3 days as then it starts to get a bit 'old' and can have more inbuilt problems). I do think every day during ovulation is better safe than sorry though!

I have been told by my consultant gyne who we are seeing for fertility treatment to (in the meantime before we start treatment) have sex every day at that time of the month to maximise our chances.
