PID - have I messed up my chance to get PG?

Hey,

I had PID about 7 years ago. I'm now TTC - have been trying since July. Took ages for periods to return after coming off the pill & am stressing myself out that PID will have ruined my chances of getting PG.
Anyone else had any experience of this?

I had PID when I was about 20 and didn't finish the course of antibiotics so always wondered if I could conceive.

I am now knackered but with 3 children.

Good luck.

BTW stress won't help so try and relax.

I'm no expert but my understanding is that PID can damage your tubes if left untreated for a long time (the heat generated by your body to fight the infection can, over a prolonged period, cause scar tissue in the follicles that 'waft' the egg down the tube). If you're worried about this you should see your GP for a referral and there is a test they can do to look at the health of your tubes. Most problems can be treated with a minor procedure

Hopefully lots of other people like Fab will be along with some success stories soon.
