I've got my appointment with the specialist tomorrow, to tell me which of 2 drugs he's going to prescribe - it's either (and excuse my spelling) bromocryptine or cabergoline. I think he'll put me on the former if I want to ttc and the latter if I decide to wait before ttc.

But does anyone have any experience of either drug, and any side effects? I've been told already that bromocryptine can cause nausea and drowsiness, but I just wanted to hear from anyone who had experience of it themselves.

Thanks so much everyone.

Hello,

Just putting my DD to bed will answer this when she is successfully there. I notice that you wrote on my thread so thank you. Briefly don't worry the sickness isn't bad.

Hello again. I take bromocriptine, 2.5mg daily. When I first started taking it I did feel like I was going to be physically sick but only for the first couple of days. I found that if I took it right before going to bed it was better. It does seem to have an effect on my sinuses and if I have a cold then it can be really difficult to sleep, but I have terrible sinus problems anyway. Apart from that it is ok. I was put on bromocriptine because I wanted to ttc.

Hope everything goes well tomorrow.
