Would any TTC/reproductive health guru like to come and interpret these blood results?!

They are CD21 test results. I'll type exactly what I was given on the print-out

Plasma LH level - 5.5
Plasma FSH level - 3.1 (low)
Plasma progesterone - 65.1

Day 21 progesterone suggests adequate corpus luteum function

Plasma free T4 level - 15.1
Plasma TSH level - 1.66
Plasma prolactin level - 224

I only have the vaguest idea of what this means. GP was nice enough bloke (locum) but typically brief... and I had gone for another complaint, so was given print-out as a last-minute thing

Any help MUCH appreciated!

bernard, saw noone had interpreted. Looks a bit complicated to me. Only thing I think I can say from the limited amount i know is that corpeus luteum results look okay - i.e. you should be able to produce enough progsterone post conception to sustain the early pregnancy. Having said that, I know very very little and google is a dangerous place!

Ther's a good website with stuff like this www.justmommies.com

LH and FSH should really be tested on day 3; there's no point testing these on day 21 as these two hormones kickstart the ovulation process.

If a day 3 result showed an imabalnce between LH and FSH (particularly if LH is higher than FSH ) then that may be pointing to an underlying hormonal problem like PCO.

Have you as yet been referred to a gynae?. These issues are best dealt with by specialists.

i'm a gp i agree lh/fsh should be tested on day 2 not day 21. the thing to focus on day 21 is progesterone, anything over 30 indicates that you are ovulating which is a good sign if TTC.

Hope this helps
