did anyone conceive a girl on day of ovulation?

we were going to try for a girl this time, but i ended up getting drunk and had sex with my own husband on the day of ovulation. is there any chance it could still be a girl?

Yes, I conceived dd right at ovulation. If it will put your mind at rest, let me tell you that I worked for years in donor insemination clinics, and it is a total myth that the timing of insemination affects gender! We would always inseminate on day of ovulation (or as close as possible) and had 50/50 boys and girls.

hester what was the method of insemination? This may affect that result given the reasons for why there may be more girls from sex earlier.

The method was straightforward vaginal donor insemination, carrots. At the clinic, the sperm would be frozen, which I guess you could argue may have an impact. I used fresh sperm, though, which I guess is pretty comparable to having sex with your own husband.

All 3 DSs were conceived before ovulation, LOL !
