Argh DS was conceived in cycle 3 and the first 2 cycles we were not really focussed on job in hand (as such).

I know 5 cycles TTC is not that much but feels like forever. Its really getting me down as all I want at the moment is to be pregnant. Am still focussing on DS but seem fixated on having another one.

My friend who conceived first time last time and didn't conceive on her first month this time has already started looking at secondary infertility on the internet so know I am not the only one going crazy.

it took me 6 months to conceive with dstwins as my first. That was 6 years ago and im now nearly 38, so obvioulsy I am concerned that I may not be able to do it. Doesnt stop me spending much of the day thinking about it. Being on MN doesnt really help, as it makes me think about it more - but I do find it a help realising im not the only one.

It took 18 months to conceive #1. Tests, hyserosalopingograms and then we gave up. And voila! I got pregnant.

Then the pregnancy was awful (pre-eclampsia). We wouldl like another but with all the messing about I am now quite 'mature'.

It has taught me to value what you have and never take anything for granted. It doesn't always work out the way you planned and if it does, remember lots of others are struggling to even get to first base.

I know I should be happy with my DS and I am. Its just I would love another one or two and although time is on my side I would like to have another one sooner rather than later. It will happen I just need to be less negative and obsessed.
