I can't join the clomid threads (although i suspect i'll probably be joining at some point), not 1st time TTC, can't use clearblue digital fertility monitor,so not on that thread, not over 40. Anyone else want to join me on a thread for people who don't fit in with the others.

I'm waiting at the moment to go for an ovarian scan to see if I have PCOS.

why can't sonographers actually tell you what they see? Had the scan, she pointed outa few small cysts but couldn't tell me if that was a lot or not. A report will be sent to my GP now so still more waiting.

How's everyone else?

Hi, its testing day tomorrow!! will be doing a HPT first thing really excited and nervous and praying for a good result.

Hulababy · 05/10/2009 16:34

I don't really fit anywhere either, and am quietly TTC.

My history is that I have 1 DD, who is 7y. She was a while in coming (15m TTC, early mc, then another 15m TTC) Have since had two ops and hormone treatment for Asherman's Syndrome (adhesions within womb caused by c section) and done 6 months of Clomid. Am now on my own, but it is over 5y down the line and still nothing, so I am just kind of getting on without and seeing what will happen.

I don't do the 2ww or OKs and all that monitoring anymore. It is nice to occasionally have a chat about it though, as can't do it in RL really.

Good lcuk to everyone.

sunburntats · 05/10/2009 16:36

yama · 06/10/2009 19:59

Hi all,

Another one looking for a thread to join so thanks for starting this one Choufleur.

I have one dd (almost 4) and we have just started ttc for no 2.

Two and a half weeks in and I can recognise that it is occupying a lot of my thoughts.

I'm clueless about ovulation but I'm guessing I'll learn a lot very soon.

decafgirl · 06/10/2009 21:05

Hello ladies, mind if I join too? I'm an old hand at this mumsnet thing but really don't fit in anywhere else now. My DS is 2 now and I'm planning to start taking my compulsory 3 months of FA on the 1st of Nov.

Am starting to get v excited. I didn't go back on the pill after having my little one but I do remember it taking 6 weeks to get a 'real' period if that's any help to you.

Will keep my fingers crossed for those of you TTC 'proper' good luck!

Decaf xx

choufleur · 07/10/2009 18:54

Hello decaf.

I've just realised that this thread title doesn't actually make sense. I think i'd had a couple of glasses of wine when i started it.

Hi guys, got bad news im afraid, AF arrived this morning was really upset but trying to look on the bright side at least i know my dates now.

Hope things are going well for you all. lay any news from you??

yama · 07/10/2009 20:50

That's a shame TishTosh.

My dates were always 37 days but since July have been more frequent so goodness knows what's going on.

Will just wait and see I suppose.

TishTosh21 · 07/10/2009 20:56

Yeah mine looks like its quite standard 28/29 days. hoping for better luck next month.

GrumpyFish · 10/10/2009 13:23

Hello, can I join too? Am a bit of a MN lurker .

We have been TTC for 6 months (3 months of "see what happens", 3 months of taking it very seriously!). Am in my early thirties, have 14 month old DS, was pg first month we tried last time. On CD 18 now and keeping my fingers crossed for this month...

TishTosh21 · 10/10/2009 18:06

Good luck grumpyfish, keep us informed of any (hopefully good) news!

chixslypixsly · 12/10/2009 13:31

Hi Ladies,

Can I join in too? I've looked on MN lots in the past but never really joined in the whole thread thing - so I thought it was time to change that!

We're TTC no.2 and have been doing so for about 12 months now (with a break in the middle to move house!) We were just going for the "see what happens" angle too but tried OPK's this month so now we wait! I have a DS who's 4 and we conceived him 2 months in, kind of figured this would just happen like that too!

Good luck to all of you ladies & hope I get some too!

xxx

sparechange · 12/10/2009 13:51

Hi Tishtosh,
Sorry to hear AF arrived, but at least you know everything is in working order...
Still nothing from me. I even went as far as to go to boots on Saturday and pick a test up off the shelf, but bottled it and put it back!!
I'm going to give it another week and then test, I think. If nothing else, I need to know if I can book up a skiing holiday for next year...
Fingers crossed for everyone else. I hope someone gets some exciting news soon...

TishTosh21 · 12/10/2009 17:40

Thanks sparechange hope you get some good news too. Ive done that bottling out too, i bought it in the end though, too bad it gave me bad news.
Keep me updated on any changes with you

sparechange · 13/10/2009 13:54

I've just been having a look back through my diary, and I think I ovd on 4/5th this month
Which would roughly mean AF is due early next week
So I have made the executive decision to definitely test next Monday/Tuesday (assuming AF hasn't given me a BFN already!!)

I had a really, really vivid dream last night that I got a BFP and woke up all excited. I was even tempted to go via boots on my way to work this morning, but it was shut.
I'll report back on Monday - keep your fingers cross for me.

TishTosh21 · 13/10/2009 17:21

Vivid dreams are a good sign! I was dreaming that i was either preg or giving birth or holiding a little baby. Then i woke up

I really really hope you get the answer you want. [hugs]

sparechange · 14/10/2009 11:29

Morning all
No prizes for guessing what turned up this morning
Oh well, at least I have some firmer dates to work with now.

TishTosh21 · 14/10/2009 17:35

Its a horrible feeling isnt it?
Better luck next month, keeping my fingers crossed for you

choufleur · 14/10/2009 18:55

keep going sparechange - at least you know now roughly when you need to be trying

OP posts:
choufleur · 15/10/2009 10:01

so went back to Dr this morning for scan results. They were inconclusive "can't rule out PCOS" but obviously can't rule it in either. Going for another blood test tomorrow as that will be day 21.
