Took 1 pill 12 hrs late, could I be pregnant?

Hello,

Last cycle I took one of my pills in the morning instead of the night before,

We had sex that evening.

Its now 14 days since the incident, however my pill packet finished 3 nights ago and there is no sign of my period.

It usually starts within 24 hours. Definatly would have streaks by now at least.

I have period pains but had them with my pregnancies too.

Also I know the only way to know is to test, but Im going to leave it till Wed if my period still has not started, I was just asking if a 12 hour delay of 1 pill could result in pregnancy.

in my experience, no. I was a bit slapdash with my pill and never got accidentally pregnant. Mind you - since I have been trying to deliberately get pregnant I haven't managed it either so perhaps my fertility has never been that gread.

I think it could depend on if you are on the mini pill or not? Sounds like you are on the combined pill if you are having a break between packets?

I think with the combined pill, taking it a bit late is less likely to be a problem.

It could be worry delaying your period.

That is how I understood it beanie; that the combined pill can be taken up to 12 hours late with no probs whereas you have only a three hour 'window' with the progesterone only pill. I think it explains it in the leaflet if you've still got it.

Would think it was very very unlikely Worryport. But not completely impossible.
As you say, the only way to know is to test!

It's possible to be pregnant even if you use the pills entirely correctly.

But if you're on the sort of pill where you have a break they say you can take it up to 12 hours later and it'll be fine.

Take a test if you want to know for sure. Or just wait...

my friends period used to disappear everytime she started to panic she was pregnant... the worry would stop her coming on and as soon as she'd gotton a -ive test it would start. Test now
