wow thats great news on your positive. Im 13 days late nmow and still negative so obviously something wrong going to have to go to the doctors! Im in nottinghamshire, you?

Hi, sorry to gatecrash but I tested using a cheapo One Step test this morning and got a second pink line but it was just underneath the overlap of the 'max' strip (hopefully you know what I'm talking about if you've got the same tests!). Am inclined to think this probably isn't a positive as not up by the control line - did your 2nd line appear much further up?

Thanks

sorry as not had a positive i cant specifically advise, but i can say that when im holding it up to the light, begging for a line you can see where the strip is where the line would be - not a positive at all but you can see its a different see through if that makes sense like its a different material its made with or whatever, hope that helps

Thanks Crackpotdog, I had a look on the makers' website and it confirmed that a positive line would only appear in the 'test window' (i.e the bit by the test line) and anything else is just a dye line.

I too was reading that the tests are just as reliable as the expensive ones and in fact they are the ones used by the NHS, so they must be ok (and A LOT cheaper!).
