Ok Ladies... new thread, since the old one was getting too long and dragging my computer (and Kat's) down with it!

MrsD - cant believe you are 30 weeks already! So you found that cutting out the lactose helps? It will be almost a week for me and I have noticed some improvement, but not a lot. Of course, he is still getting a milk-based formula supplement to the BFing. I am going to switch to a soy formula and see if it makes a difference as well. Until then... God give me strength!!! LOL

I haven't bee a size 12 since well when I was 12 pmpl! I'm 5ft 9" and I do have chunky bones (my wrist bones are twice the size of my mothers who by the way is a size 10/12). I'm like my dad, he's big boned lol......god that sounds like such an excuse for being fat lol! I need to lose about 5-6 stone to get back to the weight I was when I met dh. . It seems like such a mountain. I carry pregnancies well at my weight just I'd like to be les weeble like when pregnant next time lol!

Kat at your height no way do you have any chubbiness...it's called skin lol!!! /my best friend is 7 stone and she's always trying to tone up as she wobbles in her thighs when she walks,,,,I always remind her it's just skin lol!

BB, maybe next month if dh has his wicked way lol. I'm thinking more like march time!

IllHaveABABYBLUEChristmas · 10/12/2009 16:41

Means - congrats on your weight loss!!! I too have reason to celebrate! I stepped on the scale yesterday and have reached my goal weight for January 1st a bit early!! Yippee!! I now have 6lbs to lose to reach my pre-pregnancy (DD2) weight, and then another 12lbs to be where I used to be at (I got preg with DD2 after Christmas and had packed on nearly a stone pigging out!!). 18lbs in all isnt so bad as long as I dont overdo it this holiday!!! Am very chuffed at the moment!!! LOL

katnkittens · 11/12/2009 01:07

Awww shucks meanbeans... nice of you to say but I am a bit chubby without clothes although I look ok with them on. I walked into the bedroom tonight naked to get some PJ's and 6 year old dd started screaming and laughing...
I was most offended!!!

I am getting HUGE boobs though - I had a boob job 10 years ago (mad 20 year old urge) so they were a 34D and are now something stupid since my 36E bras don't fit..........

Plus my stomach is MASSIVE - I cant remember being this big in any of my other pregnancies... God I just know this weight is gonna be hard to shift

Am very impressed with you bb. I read something about a trainer on FB? The closest I come to a gym is the foot stepper gathering dust under the bed... I need some of your mojo!

And meanbeans, wait until you have the next bubs before trying to lose weight.... plus it's Christmas!

IllHaveABABYBLUEChristmas · 11/12/2009 15:17

Kat - Sorry... had to giggle about your DCs screaming and laughing at their naked mum!

You must have some terrible back and shoulder aches with boobies of that size. Me... I am enjoying having cleavage right now, because when I am not preggo/nursing, I am one step up from a pea on a board! LOL. I am a 36A! I come from a long line of flat chested women!! Hehehe!

As for the gym, they are quite popular here. The one I go to is women only, and is in the grocery store where I shop. Very convenient! I hired a personal trainer because she makes the workout more interesting. Besides having someone to talk to while I work out, it motivates me to go when I am paying good $$ for it! Anyway... I am very motivated to lose the weight. I am tired of wearing maternity and fat clothes. In 2010 I will be having my 20th high school reunion so I need to look FAB and not FAT! And lastly, when I go back to work I want to make sure I fit back into my uniform and don't need to go up a size, since that would be a real pain to have to refit everything! Not sure if I ever mentioned this, but I am a police officer, so I have to stay in shape and be fit (hence all the running!).

Urgh! We got our first snowfall and winter storm the other day. And last it went down to -15 degrees! I hate winter!

Meanbeansmum · 11/12/2009 19:31

BB well done on the weight loss that's amazing!!!! BB fab job. You will get back into your uniform.xxx

Kat lol, I'm a 38 E FF when boobie feeding lol. I love my big boobs!!!! I was a DD when skinny (well as skinny as I've ever been lol). I've been an E since I was 19/20, they've never gone back lol.

katnkittens · 11/12/2009 23:04

Ahh babyblue... the fitness makes sense now.. all the police officers I know are really fit.

My Mum and my brother are really fit and go running together - makes me sick that my mother has a better figure at 54 than I do at 30!
But as she reminds me, she had 3 young kids at 30 and was very similar to me - she has lots of time now that I don't have.

My boobs don't bother me, I am tall and broad many people have said 'amazonian' lol so I don't look particularly big chested as they suit my frame. The reason I had them done in the first place is because I looked so strange being my size with no chest. People are always really shocked when I tell them my boobs are fake haha.

My friend is 5' and her boobs are mahoooosive! She's the same bra size as me but she just looks all boobs and has all sorts of problems.

How did we start talking about boobies? I'm hoping to breast feed this one anyway, I bf all the others, I never lasted longer exclusively bf than 6 weeks but that was fine with me.
I enjoy the closeness during the early weeks but I also find it restricting and have never once been able to express more than an oz of milk so I always end up mixed feeding for a few weeks too until my milk dries up.

Did you say you were bfing babblue?

IllHaveABABYBLUEChristmas · 12/12/2009 14:09

I am BF but not exclusively. My first two were mostly FF. I have a very low milk supply (which no one recognized). So with DD1 I lasted about 6 weeks until I couldnt handle her screams any longer and awitched to the bottle (plus her latch was all wrong). With DS1 I did mixed feeding until he was 3 months and quit (he was slow and ALWAYS on the boob). With DD2 I was more determined. I ended up with much more BF support, figured out the problem, went on Domperidone to boost my supply at about 3 months in, and by 4 months she was exclusively BF. I went 10 months with her! With DS2 I started the Domperidone at 3 weeks and mostly BF him now. He gets a bottle of formula or breast milk when I am too tired at night or when I am out and cant BF. I love the closeness, so I am gonna try to go the full year. Once I am back to work, I will let myself dry up (once I stop the pills that only takes a week).

Phew... long post!

Am spending the day doing my Christmas baking. Then have a baby shower to go to tomorrow. Plus Christmas pics at the photo studio. Busy weekend! I KNOW I will come home from the shower broody! LOL

Welcome Loopy No need to feel shy here. We are a pretty easy going bunch. Our thread has been a little quiet lately, but we have been going for over a year now. So really... we are a mixed bunch. Some of us are TTC #4, some are preggo now, and some of us have recently had our babies! I, myself, have 4 already. How old are your DCs?? I have DD1 -11, DS1 - 10, DD2 - 2, and DS2 - 4 months.

Welcome Loopy! Good luck too I have 4dd's and 1ds, mine are 9,7,5,2,7 weeks. It's lovely but hard work, dh works away from home but home most weekends.

Quick hello to everyone! Our kitchen is finally looking finished just the new bedrooms to finish now then the extension will be complete! Nearly organised for xmas, and as for the weight thing....well it can wait '9 months on 9 months+ off'!! I'm back in my jeans so will focus on getting fit, am 5 11 so think I can just about hide the extra!! Have always breastfed until a year, exclusively for the first 6 months, but unfortunatly find I put on weight rather than lose as I eat more never mind!

Hope everyone is doing ok!

Loopy - totally agree about the BF = weight loss myth! I lost very little weight after DD2 and I BF for 10 months (which is a record for me since I always have issues like low supply). So now that DS2 is here, I have 2x the pregnancy weight to lose! LOL. With me, only watching what I eat, and working out like a fiend have helped shed the pounds. I have about 20lbs left to go, which is not bad since DS2 is only 4 months old!

Scorps - How are you doing??? You could go any time now!!! So exciting! Keep us posted.

Meanbeansmum · 15/12/2009 21:29

I agree too, total myth, my weight always sticks with bfing.....or that's my excuse lol!Seriously though I can't lose weight while bfing.

Scorps, how are you hunni? Has baby dropped yet?

I had a 3 day cut off before ovulation this month, I'll be ok right???? 7 days past ov and aching a bit....I wonder lol! Why do I do this to myself lol!

Just eaten some crisps and ow I feel naughty for it lol!

DH is 29 tomorrow, what an old git! ;)

Meanbeansmum · 15/12/2009 21:30

Welcome Loopy!!!!! I have 3 little attention suckers. Aged 7, 4 and 22 months! We recently had an ectopic pg, waiting to ttc again soon! Look forward to chatting.xxx

Meanbeansmum · 16/12/2009 18:16

cd 20...8dpo, bigger boobs, funny twinges...what the chance with a 3 day cut off and then pulling and prying?

Where's everyone lol?!?!

Meanbeansmum · 16/12/2009 18:17

what's the chance*

mrsdisorganised · 16/12/2009 21:05

Oooohh good luck to you Means!!

Scorps where are you?? How are you more to the point! Hope everything is ok.

Only quick post as ds is due a feed and getting restless, had the primary school nativity tonight and he was brilliant although dd4 came down with a temperature as we were watching so in for a fun night.....

IllHaveABABYBLUEChristmas · 16/12/2009 21:31

Ooooh Means! You've been a naughty girl!!!

MrsD - Know how you feel. DS2 spent the whole of Monday in the hospital with a fever and a cough. Had a chest x-ray, urine test and swine flu swab done. Thank God all came back clear. But he gave me a good scare. When DH left the house with him, his temp was 38.9 and he was shaking like a leaf and pale as can be. These little buggers treasures know how to scare the hell out of me!

Has anyone checked Scorps FB profile to see if anything is happening? Might have to have a peak since she hasn't been here in a while. Hope everything is ok.

Meanbeansmum · 16/12/2009 21:41

LOL, I am a bad girl lol! I can't control it when my hormones kick in. Dh stads no chance at fighting me off (not that he'd want to lol).

BB, I hope your ds2 is ok.xxxx Not seen scorps do a fb status update for a while, will check to see how she is.

Mrs D I hope DD4 is well again soon.xxx

Scorps · 17/12/2009 16:45

I am very crap. Still pg.

here

IllHaveABABYBLUEChristmas · 17/12/2009 17:34

Scorps if ever you need to chat, let me know. Try to stay positive. Things will work out the way they are meant to.

Means So when is AF due and are you going to test early? LOL. If you are PG will have to start calling you Fertile Myrtle!! LOL

MrsD How is your LO feeling??

Meanbeansmum · 17/12/2009 21:18

Scorps, please vet if you need to hun, we are here with loads of hugs and support.xxxxx

BB, ds1 was a pull and pray because I'd run out of pills baby (I was in my first year of uni), ds2 we tried 3 months for (I assumed I was ovulating on cd14, we'd be at it like rabbits until cd15 then we'd give up all bonked out! On the fourth month I charted and found I wasn't ovulating until cd22 ish, lol, bam bfp. DD was a natural family planning baby, we wanted to ttc but jobs were putting it on hold, so we dtd on cd 10 and then stopped.....except I ovulated on cd 11!!! DOH! LOL!
I hope we won't be long this time either but you never know, seen far too much infertility and it's heartbreaking! And after the ectopic I feel a bit nervous about it all. Also lost ds2's twin before 12 weeks and had an early mc before DD. We'll see what is meant to be will be. How is your gorgeous little man?

Sending some babydust to all here still trying for number 4, we'll all get there.xxxxxxxxxx

Hugs for all pg and kisses to all the new babies.xxx
