Hi there

I've posted on here before as I've had three very early mcs in the past year, all around 4 weeks.

I have a 3.5 year old DD, so I know it can be done!

Anyway, saw my GP a couple of weeks ago and am having blood tests next week, but continued ttc this month and started feeling symptoms in past day or so (sore boobs, nausea, tiredness, frequent urination). I'm on CD24 today. Did a test this morning and got a pretty strong positive. Thing is, I'm sure I'll start bleeding in the next few days as per the previous times.

I'm taking vitamin B6 in case it's a progesterone problem and also low dose aspirin in case it's a clotting problem.

My first (successful) pregnancy was fine really, although afterwards my placenta showed some weird stuff so I'm wondering if this is causing problems now.

Just wanted a bit of advice/support if anyone else is in the same boat!

Thanks
MLM

i had a bit of a scare earlier in the week.

Shyla - hey that is great news , healthy baby and with that wonderful strong heartbeat too, that is fantastic. Are you booked for another scan still?

MLM - great news from you too that you are further than before. Hope all stays good for you too.

I meanwhile am waiting for tomorrow - I will be at 5w1d, when I have a couple of times m/c'd so a little bit anxious day for me. But it is also the first day of a new job for me too, so going to be too busy to dwell on it hopefully.

Hi there

Great news about the scan Shyla, what a relief. I was thinking about you earlier so thought I'd log on to see if there was an update. It's odd with the bleeding isn't it? Always happening at around the same time. Was the same with me bleeding at around 26 day mark and thinking that was it, then it stopped as soon as started and, touch wood, not had any more.

Hope all is well with you Willitbe - let us know!

I'm still doing fine. The nausea hit an all time high (or should I say low) yesterday. Felt terrible all day. Couldn't eat, could barely move from the sofa, my poor DD was being fed the most basic junk food as I couldn't bear the idea of actually cooking anything - bad mummy! Anyway, I've got mw appt next week and hopefully a scan sometime soon after.

Sorry to say that I do not have good news, I am now having my 4th miscarriage. Fortunately this time it is being much easier than last time. I have not started bleeding yet, but I knew it was not going well and went for serial bHCG blood tests on Monday and Yesterday. They have just rung with the results. 140 monday and 70 yesterday! So clearly I will start bleeding in the next couple of days. But last time it took a whole month for my levels to drop, at least this time they are going down at the right rate and are already low.

Shyla and MLM - I will be popping back to hear how your scans go. Really hoping for the best for you both.

shyla01 · 13/08/2009 11:59

willitbe i am so very sorry to hear that. hope that thing work out for you soon. have had any tests done?

i will be keeping my fingers firmly crossed that you get some good luck soon.

all the best.

xx

Hi all

I am so sorry willitbe. Keep the hope because itwillbe one day x

I wish you were all here back in june....I am posting because all of the posts here could have been written by me.

I had mc/s in Sept 08 Dec 08 and April 09 all at exactly 4wks 6 days. I posted desperately to try and find others who were losing at exactly the same point but drew a blank.

But obviously I was not alone. I too knew I could do it because I have dd 4 and ds 2.

Anyway good news is I am now 10+5 and bean is happy and healthy with good heartbeat.

Really I just wanted to say it can work out - even with these horrible groundhog day mc/s.

Also if it helps (anyone not already blessed with good string bfp and bean holding on)- my situation appeared to be caused by a very short luteal phase (which arose after feeding ds for 22mths) that meant bean did not have time or enough progesterone to properly implant.

Once I worked this out (by ov testing and temps) I saw a homeopath and the remedy programme I was given rectified luteal phase in 1 month (brought ov back from cd25 of 34 to cd20 of 34). The folowing month I got this bfp and all is well so far.

Just in case that helps anyone! Love and best wishes for these awful 1st few weeks. I look forward to the day when knicker checking is a thing of the past x

I'm so sorry Willitbe, it's so cruel and disappointing. You sound remarkably positive and I really hope that this mc is over and done with soon and you can move on.

As Ilovebeingamummy says, there are lots of us who have been or are going through this and I find it helps to have this support (even though it would be preferable to meet in a more cheerful way!)

Have you tried any remedies/treatment? I used vitamin B6 and B12 which is good for increasing progesterone levels and also take a baby aspirin each day as I have reason to believe that my mcs may have been caused by a blood clotting problem (possibly relating to previous pg). I don't know if they have helped me this time, but I'm now 7+5 and was only making it to around 3+5 before.

I wish you lots of luck and please do keep in touch.
