Heya, I am a new member to mumsnet, but just thought I'd come on here to speak to others, swap tips, and for some general moral support!! I have had two missed miscarriages, and will be trying again in july, once everything is ok. I would love to hear from others, and have some other people to talk to this time around!! xx

I'm so sorry to hear that you're going through all of this at the moment. I hope that the ERPC passes quickly. I've had 2 mmc's since October and 3 ERPC's following a successful pregnancy in 2007. I'm now trying to conceive again. Like other posters I knew that there was a reason for my mc's despite doctors (and 1 NHS specialist) telling me that they were just bad luck and I was fine. I have a family history of secondary infertility and after paying to see a private consultant at the Portland hospital it was confirmed that DH and I have developed an incompatibilty problem and I am in effect rejecting pregnancies as an immune response. Although this was a hard thing to find out at least I knew what was happening and we have gone for treatment that may or may not work and that was worth the expense rather than more false hope from the NHS. I really hope that things become positive for you soon

The nhs annoy me barley- some of the docs/nurses seem to know less than me on the subject! Think i have become obsessesed on the subject tho, im constantly searching for info online!

Rainbow-is that 3 month wait on the nhs? I would be the same as you, i wouldnt want to wait until oct for results before ttc again. Fingers crossed that you won't miscarry again

i have started phoning a few private clinics today to arrange tests, but waiting for them all to phone me bak.

Let me know when any of you have any updates

xx

Thanks so much Rachxx....that really means a lot.....you very much deserve a BFP as well -- and soon! So sorry about your ERPC tommorrow. You'll be in my thoughts. Please hang in there and let us know how you are getting on.

Rainbow.....gosh three months -- I hope with the summer it goes by more quickly. I went private and was on the phone with my doctor within a week discussing my blood results. Luckily, my foreign insurance partially covered the investigations so I now realise I was very, very lucky. I really hope you are fourth time lucky and I'm sending you loads of sticky vibes.

Oh and Rachxx....the Portland is in Central London......sort of near regents park if i remember correctly.

Had my erpc, it was ok, but felt like I was on a conveyor belt, as soon as it was over, they wanted to discharge me asap. Yes I would like to be in the comfort of my own home, but not when they are basically pushing me out the door!!

Got some tests booked now too!! It sounds so silly, but Im actually looking forward to them, not because I want them, but maybe because there may be a simple curable problem, and I will beable to go forward, and put all of this behind me.

xx

Feeling like one is on a conveyer belt is certainly no fun. Hope you are cosy at home with your feet up....

Great that you have tests booked. I found it so hard to take the first step (scared of what might come up) but so happy I did. Now i feel like I will have a little more faith for next time......even though I know I will be completely anxiety-ridden.

Sending you loads of hugs....
