lol Jools ... I do hate that stupid witch

I feel a bit cooler today, but then it is a bit cooler today. Where is all my overanalysis getting me eh? I need to test, then I can have that nice big glass of wine, and some mouldy blue cheese, and maybe paint some gloss

cupcakefairy · 04/06/2009 15:27

Haha! While that would be funny, I think a little cruel to the child! It would be so cool if you were pg now though

Curly I don't know about being hot and bothered during af either but TEW does all sorts of evil things to our bodies (the things she's done to me in the past don't bear thinking about!) But yes please do tell us about lasering- I'm seriously considering it for bikini line... how much did it cost you and is it really just a one-off thing and no more hair, ever? Jools that is v interesting about feeling cold during pregnancy...I will have to experiment with my next one. With the last one, I stopped temping on day 42.

Neeko · 04/06/2009 15:27

Or sit with your feet up and a huge grin on your face!?

Neeko · 04/06/2009 15:29

I'd also love to never have to do my bikini line again. Not that I'll probably ever wear a bikini again!

Curlywurleelittlepants · 04/06/2009 15:30

I'm still getting hungry every time I see the name cupcake Neeko you are lovely trying to distract me. I think I am driving everyone demented at this stage . Ok about laser, it hurts, like an elastic band being pinged on you. Totally worth it though. Takes about 6 goes over the period of a year.

Curlywurleelittlepants · 04/06/2009 15:32

I think it cost me £500 for bikini and underarms cupcake. I had 6 treatment but it didn't get everything so I think I need another one. Remember when barbie was talking about hair growth? It needs to be in the right phase so you might not catch everything. I have barely anything there though, so would highly recommend it.

Curlywurleelittlepants · 04/06/2009 15:34

I think the darker your hair and paler your skin, the better it works as the laser needs a contrast

Neeko · 04/06/2009 15:37

You are not dementing us. I personally love it that someone else is as obsessed as I am! Sorry that I can't distract you any more as I need to leave work now. No comments about teachers' hours though as I have a mountain of marking to take home. I'd get it done more quickly if I stopped chatting to you lot, but it wouldn't be half as much fun!

Cupcake there's no need for a BD tonight now if my temp has risen is there? We BD 4 days in a row, surely that's enough? (I know you favour the every other day but I'm either in or out- pardon the pun )

Curlywurleelittlepants · 04/06/2009 15:41

See you later Neeko I'm going to try and get more study done before testing time

cupcakefairy · 04/06/2009 15:41

I don't know, as we've found out there is so much different advice out there!

Put it this way, if I was trying not to get pregnant, we wouldn't BD until the 3 night after temp rise. (Because in any given month you could ovulate twice so egg life is potentially 48 hours)...so if you can manage to keep your eyes open (and your DH's hips are up to it ) you probably should have one more go tonight! You're going to be as exhausted as Iggy at this rate

Curly £500 definitely seems worth it! Now I will have to persuade dh

GracieGirl · 04/06/2009 16:00

I wasn?t really sure whether to go and see the GP yet or not but I rang on Monday and got an appointment for this morning. At least then if things go wrong early on then its already on record. My GP is a bit useless and she was really cold and unhelpful when I had my miscarriage, she basically told me I?d wasted her time coming to see her as I?d already had a private scan and knew the baby was dead (the hospital had told me to go to GP for a sick note). But the following week when I spoke to another GP on the phone about a sick note and he managed to say at least the words ?take care of yourself? which was a million times more supportive than my own GP had been.
So this morning I went to see the other GP, he was really nice. I know as well as any of us on here do that there is absolutely nothing that a GP can do to help my Bean to survive at this early stage. It will either survive or not survive, and until its not survived 3 times there is nothing the NHS will offer to assist or find out why. But this GP just said all the right things, we talked at length about my previous miscarraige and made me feel like he actually cared and although my local EPAU don?t offer reassurance scans as a rule, he has sent in a referral to try and convince them to do one at 8-9 weeks without making me feel like I?m a neurotic crazy person. We don?t ask for much do we but its nice when health professionals are nice to us. I think he deserves an Emmsys Onwards and Upwards Gold Star!!

Jools it sounds like your Midwifery assistant need an Emmsys Gold Star too!

I?m writing pages trying to catch up?..

iggypiggy · 04/06/2009 16:02

afternoon all

I've really been wanting lasering... but heard that sometimes if you get PG the hair grows back? Is that true? Or a lie?!

GracieGirl · 04/06/2009 16:14

So what have you all been talking about...

Hair removal???? - I'm an epilator girl - only hurts for the first few times then no problems at all (though its a bit sharp on the bikini line!) Curly laser treatment sounds a good option. I did try electrolysis for a few sessions, but got bored.

Cupcake you made me laugh when you eated a mini milk - they're yummy! Though being pregnant again means my bowels have gone all hormonal on me and now I eated prunes! yuk yuk yuk!!!

Now what else..... the boobs debate - I don't have any! I never had any! at size 16 or size 8 or anything inbetween! pregnant or non pregnant I have no boobs- its not fair!

GracieGirl · 04/06/2009 16:17

Oops! it was Iggy who eated a mini milk not cupcake

cupcakefairy · 04/06/2009 16:20

You will get your boobs Gracie! And then you'll be complaining that they're too big! Glad you went to a better GP this time. I'm seriously considering changing mine for the next pg as like you, I have a rubbish one. She is so cold and always trying to convince me NFP 'doesn't work' (pah!)
In fact, when I had my mc at the hospital, I found all the medical staff to be pretty unsympathetic...one doctor's first question was 'so this is an unwanted pregnancy?' I burst into tears. It wasn't until the very end of the day and the nurses had swapped shifts that the new one said to me 'I know this has been a really hard day for you.' I could have hugged her!!

I love the idea of Emmsy's Gold Stars

GracieGirl · 04/06/2009 16:25

4ever I'm glad my episode at the post office made you chuckle! barbie has it arrived yet??

Iggy - BD every day in february - that's unbelievable!!! You're amazing! and a little crackers!

Curly have you tested yet? can't we get a little bit excited???

MLS sorry to hear you and DD are poorly sick (not as poorly as your pet spider though!). I hope you're both feeling a bit better today.

Iggy and MLS I've stopped doing twice daily pregnancy tests now, though I did do one this morning on the sample I took to the GP's just to make sure before I left home!

Barbie I hope you get things sorted with a more part time job. at your dentist prices!!!!

mermaid I'm glad you're grubby pants seduction worked well - fingers crossed for your 2ww.

GracieGirl · 04/06/2009 16:28

Cupcake - change your GP! At least I can now see this nice one from my practice. The hospital staff were pretty rubbish to me too except for the nurse at the scanning clinic and 2 of the theatre staff.

GracieGirl · 04/06/2009 16:30

Neeko I have text messaged MrsKate with your Get Well Soon Hug!

iggypiggy · 04/06/2009 16:49

Gracie prunes... rather you than me!
today I have eated another mini milk

good news about your GP - mine are rubbish too, although I actually saw a nurse practitioner instead of a GP when I was PG who was useless. She was totally in a bad mood and had to go and ask someone else about exercise during pregnancy and told me that I could do whatever I liked, but not to lie on my back... err not helpful!

barbie1 · 04/06/2009 18:04
