Hi all,

Im new to this, but have been reading posts for a while now.

Long story short, been trying for ages, last month did pregnancy test on day i was due and it came back with BFP. Had a few pains but everyone kept telling me they were "growing pains". Week later came on. Went to early preg unit who confirmed in urine and blood test that wasnt pregnant. Under fertility specialist, went for appt on Mon, she said that it was a false positive, and that had i been preg would have still showed on bloods. Anyone heard of a false positive before?

Anyway, she wants to start me on Clomid. Which is great, except no AF as yet. Due yesterday. Had few pains early week but nothing yest, today or day before. Did test yest when due but BFN. Am feeling very dizzy but not pain. Any words of wisdom???? Dont want to get my hopes up so any experiences would be great! x

Your experience sounds very much like that of my sister. False positives, morning sickness symptoms but blood tests showed bfn (twice). Her cycle ended up all over the place so when she was prescribed clomid it was a while before she started it.

She got her bfp after the first clmid cycle and is expecting DS in September.

Good luck, I can't offer any advice but just wanted to say there is definately hope!

Lulu thanks so much that has given me hope!!! I dont want to resort to the Clomid but from the sounds of it it might be a good thing!!

My sister thinks so! Jules Oliver wrote about her experience of trying to conceive and I think she ended up using clomid. I think her book is called minus nine to one, you might like it?

My sister cried all over Christmas, convinced she had period pains, was never going to get pg etc and got her bfp in January. You just don't know what's around the corner!

Good luck!
