Hi there jsut thought that I would create a thread for those of us that have bodies playing tricks on us.

I am now on CD42 so 10 days late. I am still getting BFN with early tests. Have loads of preg symtoms (have one DD, and had one MC). No signs of AF as yet.

And driving myself crazy as dont know if I am preg or not and its all I can think about.

I will be retesting on thursday, and if it is still neg then I will go to the GP.

Would be great to have a place to chat together!

x

Hi

I too went through this....I had a MMC in oct 08 everything finally seetled down to some kind of normal until Jan 09 when i went 46 days with no AF or BFP!!!

I became very concerned as there was still nothing up tp aweek before i flew out to Egypt i saw my gp, for what it was worth and was basically told this is a very common occurence for women to have 2-3 abnormally long cycles per year and not to worry!!!! Got a hcg blood test at work [i am a nurse] which showed my levels to be too low to be PG then 4 days later, the day before i flew away i got my AF.....

Think, looking back, the stress of everything going on for me certainley didn t help!!!

But its a catch 22 situation as you re told not to worry however, if like me, you ve always been pretty regular its hard not to although you know this probaly isn t helping!!!

Hope this helps

This is me to a T.

Came of the pill 8 weeks ago, no AF for 7 weeks. Convinced I'm pg so took a test today but it was negative! So where the heck is my period? Must just not be back into normal periods after the pill.

Anyway good luck and let me know how you get on!

Am so pleased to see this thread! I am 6 days late and I've never been late in my life. 2 negative results though. Already have 1 dd but have been ttc#2 for 8 months and this limbo is driving me mad

Hi ladies,

Sorry to hear that you are also in the same situation, but its quite nice to beable to chat to people who knows what it feels like.

TTC is enough of a rollercoaster as it is without you body playing silly tricks on you.

I'm 11 days late now, only time ive been late ibefore is when I have been pregnant. When I did first test stupidly assumed it would be a BFP, as had been feeling preg, coupled with the absent AF...How wrong could I be.

I am testing on Thursday with FR if AF hasnt arrived as I decided to give myself a few days. Still have lots of preg symtoms, but becoming worried that might be a more serious reason.

When are you all planning on testing again/ seeking medical advice?

Good to chat to you all x

Hello all. I came off the pill in december and have had no periods since. Have been to doc to get checked out and my FSH level is slightly elevated so he's referring me on, but that will take 18 wks apparently. At the moment I'm having acupuncture to see if that sorts things out, but we have decided that if nothing by June we'll pay to see someone privately.

I too thought I was pg initially, especially as I was feeling a bit queasy and also was very emotional and tired, so was really shocked when I tested and got 2 bfns.

dancingqueeen · 21/04/2009 10:18

just want to apologise for all the messages! didn't mean to send them all, in case you hadn't guessed!

I raised this with my gp on friday, when I was there about something else, and he said it was highly unlikely to be anything to worry about, sometimes women just have an occasional long period. or stress, illness etc can delay. however, he said if it didn't come back within about 3 months then to go back and see him.

still sick of waiting for it to arrive though!

anniemac it was 9.7, so not hugely high, certainly not too high for ivf from what I have read. The doc said though that he couldn't really tell what it meant as becuase I'm not having cycles as such, it's a bit of a reading out of nowhere. I'm getting it taken again at some point to see what it has done.

I'm having acupuncture atm to try and bring it down and also locate my period, so hoep that does the tric.
