Of course I will!! It may be a while though as I'm CD4 at the moment and haven't got an appt for specialist yet so it will be at least another six weeks before I'll be starting it as my cycles are so looooooooooooooong!!

I'll post on this thread when I start it and keep you up-dated with my progress!! !!

Bunny2 - how wonderful to see you on here. Gosh i remember many a reassuring post from you during the agony and heartache of the early TTC days. I hope that you and your family are all well. Lovely to see you

hi ChaCha, all I can say is my perfect beautiful baby girl was worth every moment of anguish!! I hope you enjoy the next 6 months, I shall keep looking out for your news. Do you have due date?

Popa, it is such a frustratingly slow business - hang on in there!

Just thought I'd add my exp to the thread.........not to bring you down but to warn you not to get your hopes to high,\as there can be disappointments as well as highs. I was diagnosed as having PCOS last year and underwent 2 rounds of clomid before moving onto Metformin, as it didn;t work on its own.

When I was first put on the clomid my dr basically told me I would be pg within 3 months, which I daftly accepted and duly looked forward to. Then, when the clomid didn't work I was absolutley gutted. I know he was just trying to keep me positive and at the time it was the right thing to tell me but when it fails, it is hear wrenching to have to start all over.

All I really wanted to say is try and bear in miond that this could only be the first step in a long road. I truely hope it does work for straightaway as I know it is possible but please bear in mind those are the lucky ones and there is a chance you may not be so lucky this time round. I just wouldn't want you getting as disappointed as I did........hope it helps.

Thanks runtus. I will keep that in mind and try not to get too carried away. It's so difficult not to sometimes though isn't it? Thanks for the warning though, I'll take it one step at a time. I am confident that I will have a baby one day but it may take a while.

So glad you didn't think i was just being an old bag........I know exactly how you feel. I was in the same boat not too long ago and know how hard it is not to take things at face value.

Stay positive but be realistic......the only way really!

Hi, I was prescribed Clomid last year as tests showed I wasn't ovulating. We already have DS born in 2001 (I was told the same before he came along a complete suprise, i.e. no fertility drugs!). I read the side effects and they scared the hell out of me, we decided that as we had planned to get married the year DS was born, now was a good time to get married and start the treatment afterwards. Well we get married 2 weeks today and just yesterday I found out I was 8 weeks PG! Another shock (but a nice one) even our gp was amazed. I suffer PCOS and have not had AF since 2003! A friend of mine was taking Clomid and she had no side effects at all, it worked for her on the 2nd cycle, she is going to start again next year.x

Hello all! Just to let you know that I have my appointment for the specialist on 8th June so hopefully will be able to start clomid not long after. I'm really nervous now that I have an appt I don't really know why!

Weel, girls I said I would update you and as promised here it is!! It is not what I expected to happen but nevermind. Well I went to the appointment with the specialist and was told they wouldn't do anything until we had been trying for a year. We have been trying for nine months now and our next appt is in October. I was disappointed and upset but just thought I would get on with it. Anyway, over the past couple of days I have felt really sick and drained of all energy. I did a pg test this morning and got a BFP!!! I am gobsmacked. I was told I didn't ovulate and would need clomid but I seem to have ovulated and am now pg. I don't really believe it though and am going to buy loads of tests to make sure they all say the same thing. I have promised Dh not to do any til he comes back from work though which isn't until 2pm. I am going crazy but am cautiously happy!!!
