Late period but negative test

Have been trying for a baby for about 4 months - periods always regular - now 5 days late, 4 tests later and still negative results! Any suggestions anyone?

Hi! I'm new to this site! I'm hoping someone could give me answers too. I'm experiencing the same situation as well atm. I'm now 2-3 days late and having period cramps and white discharge. I've also been having mood swings and have been craving foods. My boobs and nipples were also sore and have been on and off. But the cramps and lower back pain were obvious. I did a pregnancy test this afternoon, first response. However, i had a pee half an hour earlier with the urine i used to test so the urine was just a small amount. It was negative. Can someone explain to me what happened?

I have been reading all of these posts and realize that the majority of folks who are having issues similar to mine have gotten their periods at the 40-50 day mark of being late.

I am 56 days late for my monthly. I have spent countless amounts of dollars on tests, gone to a couple of doctors and been tested and all of them said BFN.

I feel cramping in my lower abdomen, pain in my back, my breasts hurt to touch or bump anything, I have heartburn constantly, I feel nauseated easily, and I am going crazy with my moods.

The doctor said to wait another month and we will try at the 3 month mark, but after reading all of the posts in this thread I am starting to lose hope. Is anyone out there who has had a 50+ day cycle and found out they were pregnant? Or should I just consider this a lost cause?

Hi, I came off the pill 4 my 7 day break 3 wks on Friday, I got slight brown discharge 4 a day or 2 but nothin else, ive got all the signs of pregnancy from slight crampin 2 sickness but all tests r negative my hcg was level 2 which is classed as normal :/ it's really frustrating n dunno what 2 do next as my job involves heavy liftin x

Hey all! Im glad im not alone! Im 8 days late for my regular period. Tested again this morning with fmu and got bfn :( I had slight bleeding brown pinkish and some bright red 6 days before my missed period that lasted 3 and a half days. My cycles have been normal 30 day cycles since i got off bc and we started ttc in August. Im so confused ive had multiple symptoms dizziness morning sickness craving milk whichI despise uusually. Also my breasts are full/ heavy and my a reolas are darker with veins dark blue directly to them. Never noticed that before period. The last couple days ive been having some twinges in my lower abdomen and my cm is clear and watery seems like way more than usual. I feel like im going crazy!!! Ive called three different doc offices and none of them will do blood testing anymore. Any advice would be great!!!! Thanks in advance and baby dust!!

I am 3 days late and 3 x negative tests. However with my DD I was 5 days late before I got a faint line in the positive window.

Do some people not produce much hormone at the beginning? Is this a thing? Or am I just late and holding onto dream of being pregnant? Could I be pre menopausal? I am 40 next month.

I am actually four days late and my period just arrived, partly releived as it would be an August baby and just 4 starting school but also partly worried it won't happen at all!

My DD was my Birthday gift three years ago, maybe baby no.2 will be conceived around the same time? Mid January. Anyhow it has spurred me into action, I am joining a gym next Monday to get fit and also have a doctors appointment as I am a bit worried that the irregular periods may be a sign that I am Peri Menopausal.

I recommend tracking your periods, either a calendar, Outlook, phone calendar etc, create a recurring appointment and when you are late amend it,

Hiya looking for some advice ,

I'm not using contraception as such just pull out - had my lb in 2013 - I'm now 10 days late for my monthly and took 2 tests 2 weeks ago and negative. Took two this week and try didn't work at all (odd) Iv been having pains an period type aches but have no got it yet. I have swollen boobs but that's all - I don't feel pregnant and I'm not under any life style stress or anything irregular don normal

Hiya all, im not sure if im preg all tho it would be baby number 3 for me, my daughter is nearly 4 and my son passed away with sids aged 5 months, ive been experiencing feeling sick, tiredness, tender boobs but not often, light period bleeding seems to be stopping now tho after 5 days im norm heavy, and have had heartburn but all the preg tests ive done are negative!! So im not sure!! Skmething is telling me i am tho but tests are telling me different!! Any clues anyone? Thanks x

I am going on 2 weeks late. I have taken about 6 pregnancy tests and 3 came back with a faint line and 3 were negative. I am so confused I also have noticed a white discharge when ever I use the restroom. (sorry about the tmi) I have been showing some signs of pregnancy. But I am so confused. Hi im 5 days late and normally early. I have experienced light brown discharge and pale pink liquid after intercourse but test came back neg!!! Could i still be pregnant feel really weird???

Hi ladies. Hubby and I have been ttc for a few months. AF is now 8 days late. I have done 5 HPT and all are BFN :(
Went to the doctors to day as I am now on CD41. I'm pretty much always on a 33 day cycle and have even so for the last 5-6 months. I have swollen boobs but they are not sore or sensitive like when I'm due on. I have felt a few light cramps and have waves of feeling sick. But it's more like a combination of wanting to burp and car sickness. But that's it. No other symptoms apart from that and no AF.

I spoke to my mum and when she was 28weeks with me she started bleeding. She went to the hospital who told her she was miscarrying and gave her a D&C. She went back after a month for a check up and they then told her she was STILL pregnant. So now she was worried that I'd be born with a disability because of the interference. But she went full term with me and I am fine. I have spent the last week of my life worrying and spending lots of time reading about pregnancy symptoms. I have pee'd on sooooo many sticks (and those things aren't cheap!) But there are some women who regardless of how physically and visibly pregnant they are NEVER GET A POSITIVE ON A STICK. So now I quit. I'm just going to let nature do it's thing because when all is said and done YOU CAN NEVER EVER TELL. EVER.

There are no formulas, no harden fast rules, you can just never tell.

I went to doctor this morning. I have been referred to hospital for an ultrasound and have a blood test scheduled for next we. We shall see but I am not holding my breath that I'll get a definite answer. Especially after my mums history!

Has anyone taken pregnancy tests after they have missed their period which showed negative results but later they found out they were pregnant???
I was due on 4 days ago and have done lots of tests but they are all saying negative. I had sex with my partner yesterday and bled a little straight after so I thought it was my period starting but it wasn't. I've had dull aches in the bottom of my stomach and have been feeling really tired and a little sick. I have 2 children and I feel like I felt when I was pregnant with them. I went to see my doctor today and he said to wait until Monday and to do another HPT and to bring a urine sample to the surgery. He said it can take a week for a positive result to show. I feel pregnant but I'm not sure if I am. Has anyone had anything similar to me please?

Yes I am in exactly the same boat. I just started another thread but not sure how mumsnet works exactly. I keep getting negative and I'm now 6 days late. I feel tired and fed up and now I just want my period to come if it's going too as I feel really bloated and generally bleh and although my boobs were achy, they're not anymore so I think I just want to know one way or the other. Feel like af is on the way today though, so we will see. Good luck to you!!

I need help and I don't know where to turn, I was 12days late on my period, I did a test from tescos (after doing the test I have read the reviews and everyone has said the same and it's crap) the test came up negative 2days later I was spotting for a day but very very light, and then it stopped again, I still wake up every morning feeling sick and tired and then buy mid evening I'm feeling ok again, I feel sick most of the time and I have horrible back pain, I don't know weather it's worth me doing another test or it's just nothing due to spotting.

Hi, I'm new to all this, I had a miscariage at 7 weeks pregnant in nov,had a normal period in dec, and now 12 days late, been to my GP today and he said just wait it out... It's driving me mad done about 6 tests.. Last ones have been cheap tesco ones all negative! Any one had similar? It's so disheartening getting neg results :(

Same am me 13 days late today and all neg tests!
I had slight spotting this morning so who knows maybe Mother Nature is starting today!
GP said to me it could be that I ovulated later than usual so if I was pregnant it wouldn't show yet and if I'm not my period will come when it's ready!
