Hi, we have just just started TTC bit nervous really but have decided to bite the bullet and go for it.

I have been pregnant before but by accident so I know I can get pregnant. But it makes everything a bit more stressful because I lost the baby at 7 weeks. I am very scared this will happen again and be my fault.

Sorry for the waffle there .
I was wondering about the right time of the month to try, everyone says that you should do it every other day, but surely the day after my period stopped I am not going to get pregnant? Is it important to TTC all through the month or can you just do it during ovulation time (2 weeks after last period started yes?)

Thank you for any advice you can give me.

It isn't vital to do it every other day in order to conceive. If you've been trying a long time with no success, then it's a good idea in case you are ovulating earlier/later than you think.

If you're just starting to try, I'd do it as much as possible between days 10 and 15 for a couple of months. If that doesn't work, try every other day between day 8 and day 17 but once a day at least on days 12,13 and 14. But, please remember to have fun and enjoy the sex rather than just think about conceiving.

You could also buy some OV sticks from Boots.

Good luck and please do not blame yoursef forthe m/c. A m/c at 7wks is sadly common and is unlikely to have been cause by something you did.

Hiya, sorry to hear you had a m/c, it does make you worry about it happening again but there is every chance your next pregancy will go smoothly. I lost my first but my next 2 pregnancies were textbook and now I have 3 lively lovely children! I also must say that losing a baby is a terrible thing to go through but it is not your fault, you mustn't blame yourself or worry that you will cause another one.

As for the right time of the month to try... I seem to remember days 11-16 (day one being the day AF arrives) are the best days as you should ovulate around that time. The sperm can live for a few days so it doesn't hurt to have some ready and waiting when the egg is released! I think it is important to TTC all through the month as you may not ovulate exactly on day 14 although DTD every other day religously may make it feel like a chore so try and go with the flow if you can.

HTH!

And yes,in theory you ovulate around day 14 on a 28 day cycle but not every woman has a 28 day cycle and not every woman OVs right in the middle.
