Urgent advice needed re First Response pg test RESULT please!!

Morning all,
I did a First Response test first thing this morning as my AF is due today and hasn't arrived. Have had period-like symptoms for the last three days but no AF. I normally get these symptoms before AF but not for this long so I was wondering whether (touch wood!) they could be pg symptoms??!
ANYWAY, I did the test and one line showed up (which is negative, I know) but when I really peered at it, I could see another faint, faint,faint line. You have to really peer at it to see it; it's not immediately visible. Could this be positive, or is the line just there anyway?

I took a first response test 2 days after af due and had the faintest of lines, could only see it if you really squinted! That faint line is now my 17 month old ds!!

Gateau did you do another test? I am in my first month of ttc and AF is 2 days late. I have symptoms but think it might be my body adjusting.....

Really hoping it's positive but just to say I have had the faintest of faint lines with first response before and it has been negative - also had false positives with clear blue. now I just don't really trust the tests at all

Hmmm, it's a no win isn't it what to do what to do? Am so impatient, like most other MNetters i suspect

Test done. BFN ah well thought that might be the case.

1st response are pants, got a -ive with 1st response just 2 days before +ive with cheapo test

I dont believe that they show clear +ives any sooner than any other test

i used a boots cheapie.....
