Worried DP's lifestyle is producing low quality swimmers!

Been TTC no2 for almost 12 months with no success. After a blood test which shows I'm probably ovulating GP has sent referal letter to the fertility clinic.

DP doesn't drink or smoke. However, since conceiving our first child he has started to drive to/from work for a total of 4 1/2 hours. He also has a desk job which means more sitting. He's taken to having long hot baths and also wears pants rather than boxers.

I'm probably being paranoid but I'm worried that these changes may have a detrimental effect on his sperm. Any comments? Especially from women who have conceived with men who are desk bound.

My DP cycles 2 hours a day to a desk job... I have been TTC for nearly a year and am worried that this is having an effect. He refuses to consider it as he got someone pregnant 13 years ago (who miscarried), although he has agreed to cut down the cycling when I am OV'ing, hopefully this will help.

Can you convince him to switch to showers and boxers, just for a bit? The desk thing shouldn't make much difference, but then I am no expert!

good luck!

Hi girlwithacurl. Sounds like you have similar concerns! I will try and raise the subject with DP but to be frank he isn't one for discussing the ins and outs of conception. I hope I'll be able to get him to try showers and boxers if only for a couple of months.
