Hey don't know if anyone has any answers but I heard that male sperm swim a lot faster than the female, however then male ones dont last as long, so if your TTC ds then surely you should wait until the end of ovulation. How long does this take?? Obviously I don't mind whether I have dd or ds, any healthy dc is what I want. Is this true or a old wives tale?

So much I never knew! No hot showers or baths at all or just around ov when i will be fertile?? First thing in the morning is probably the only time i would get the chance to do it anyway (temperature that is) so probably a good time for me, not sure if i'll remember before i get out of bed tho?!

Heat kills all sperm. That is why men's testicles are outside outside their bodies, whereas women's ovaries are inside.

Honestly, I don't think choice of boxers will make much of a difference in sperm motility re heat, given that we are in the dead of winter.

hehe, I have my brother with me at the moment and he doesn't know about TTC2 but brought up the subject of heat killing sperm! DP had the laptop on his lap and my brother told him to take it off as the heat from the battery is know to kill the sperm or "fry your balls" as he put it!

Thought this was quite ironic as im am learning all these things on here!!

Anyway DP took the laptop off straight away as we had only this morning had the conversation about what everyone has posted on here....he did make a little joke about trying to save the boy sperm!
