sex on day 9 of a 25 day cycle - boy or girl?

am 28 weeks preg, dh really doesn't want to know the sex but it's driving me mad not knowing, what do you think? any experts?

well, one theory is that you should have sex 2 or 3 days before ovulation for a girl and the day or day after for a boy. On a 28 day cycle, ovulation would be around day 14.

(it worked for us!)

that means on my cycle it's day 11...

OK dinny they say (old wives tale) that if you tie your wedding ring (or presumably any other ring) on a thread and hold it over your bump, if it goes round and round it's a girl, and if it goes side to side it's a boy.
Well I did it with both mine, and was right both times!!!!

oh yes, some friends did the needle test (same sort of thing) and was a girl according to that

morning sickness = girl
none = boy

is your bump all out front/ - boy
or do you just look fat at the sides?

ah - but I do know, because it was a slightly drunken unprotected shag and then reverted to using condoms (was about to have coil put back in next period!)

so pretty sure it was that day, if I have remembered dates correctly!

I even had to go back after 20 week scan as s/he wouldn't move in right position at first one and didn't ask! gah!

dh really wants a surprise and if I find out I'll tell him, so have agreed not to (and because didn't find out with the other two)

driving me mad!

I conceived on day 7 of cycle unexpectedly and had a boy. 2nd time round it was day 8 and despite more nausea and dodgy ligaments I had another boy. No way of knowing, people kept saying judging by your shape its a girl. Another tale is that if your skin goes really dodgy and your hair a bit bad it'll be a baby girl stealing your looks!

I think it's a boy, and I was wrong guessing both times before, so that means it's a girl?

What does the chinese calendar say?! I would have thought more likely girl because of the sex before ovulation theory but Chrysanthamum has just blown that one.

I had a ds and dd when expecting no.3. It was the only one of my 5 I didn't mind not finding out about because I had one of each. Unless you pay for a private scan you're going to have to keep on guessing! Good luck x

28 weeks dinny . with dd we deffo had sex before ovulation, god knows with ds. so i think it's a girl .

Got pregnant on Day 7 of cycle with DS and Day 10 with DD. No idea when I ovulated either time, though.

Fwiw, the Chinese prediction foolishness was actually right for me both times
