You need to reset the monitor. I've never tried this but here we go
CLEARBLUE FERTILITY MONITOR RESET INSTRUCTIONS
Please read all instructions over before attempting to re-set the monitor!
- With the monitor OFF, place a clean unused test stick with the cap on (remove plastic cap from one end and snap it onto the other end of stick) in the test stick slot of the monitor.
- Make sure it snaps in.
- Press and hold the "m" button. Continue pressing the "m" button while turning the monitor ON.
**(NOTE: Do not take finger off "m" button until these directions say to do so.)
- It will show you the "remove the test stick" sign. (a flashing test stick with an arrow pointing right) Continue pressing "m".
- Keep pressing the "m" button and in about 20 seconds, you will see a screen full of symbols. The screen will look as if it is going crazy and will be full of pics.
- Remove the test stick first and then QUICKLY release your finger from the "m" button. All of the memory should be wiped out.
- Your screen should display a flashing "m" and one or two dashes. If it does not, it will probably show a "1" and a non-flashing "m". If it does, then you need to repeat the process so it shows the flashing "m" and dashes.
- Start using the monitor on CD 1 as per the instruction booklet.
Another thing to keep in mind is that when the monitor peaks you can stop using the sticks for that cycle, even if it asks for more. You would just be wasting them, the monitor will always have two peak readings in a row.
And also too, I thought for a while that when the monitor read a peak reading that that ment you where OV but that just means that your surge is coming, so don't give up the BD after 2 nights. I made this mistake and ended up having to us the monitor for, I think it was, 5 or 6 months before someone else told me different. Keep the BDing going for 4 or 5 days.
I OV on the 3rd day after my peak reading and the last month I used it, after I was informed otherwise, we kept BD and Walla our first baby is due May 30, 2007.
Everyone is a little different.
I only had one cycle with two peak readings in a row.
The other two cycles had one and then went down to high.
So don't be alarmed if you don't get two peak readings in a row.
The other thing to mention is that you set it the day after you get AF. Unless you get AF before your testing time. So if you're on CD6 now, you can set it to CD5 and still be on track so you can use it this month. You can only test within a 3 hour window(I think). If that time is already passed I would go ahead and set it, then during testing days pee in a cup with FMU and dip the test stick at regular time. Does that make sense? Your pee won't lose anything during that few hours so it'll still work.
Just a few things, helpful hints, to keep in mind!
