Hey everyone

My cycle has been a bit random for the last few months since having my implanon removed but generally averages 28days. Last AF was 31st July, since Wed/Thurs last week had very tender breasts & not felt right. Having already had a child before I couldn't shake the feeling I was PG. Yesterday I did an early test and got a faint positive, repeated again this morning & it's slightly darker. So, I'm thinking I might be PG.
Thing is, if going by a 28dc I'm not due AF til the 28th, so this is 10 days early & already showing as positive.
My soon to be DH isn't my son's biological father. So here's where it gets complicated. He's an identical twin, as is his father, and his grandad & his mum can't remember if it goes any further back than that.
Does anyone think I could be PG with twins therefore a higher hCG level hence the ealier positive result? Or am I just being paranoid & obsessing?!
Also if I went to the nurse do you think she'd test or do bloods or reckon it's too early & be made to wait till AF is due (2 days before our wedding BTW)

Looking for a wide range of opinions please!!

I don't think there's any point in seeing the nurse just yet - I would wait until your period is due, do another test, then see the nurse/GP.

A tentative congratulations

I would try and forget about it, and concentrate on your wedding instead for the next few days!

I actually thought identical twins could come from either side of the family, or be a random occurance.

I could be wrong.

Thanks for all your input

I'm attempting to look around on info on twins & different sites appear to say different things - always the way!! I guess everyone has a different opinion

It's my hen night this weekend (or at least I think that's what they're planning), I just don't want to be going out getting stupidly drunk when there's a chance I am PG..

identical twins are not hereditary - fraternal twins can be

TotalChaos · 19/08/2008 09:18

given the BFP I wouldn't drink but I wouldn't get too hung up on the early BFP meaning twins.

KittyIOM · 19/08/2008 09:22

Thanks TotalChaos
I'm not really hung up on it, just a bit curious, I guess only time will tell!
