I had my first period since dd was born 12 months ago on the 21st December and haven't had one sice then. I did a test nearly 2 weeks ago and it was negative but still no period! I'm still bf so I suppose that could be why but it seems a bit strange that I had one then no more. Has anyone had a fale negative or experience of bf/irregular periods?
TIA

Evergrounded - Thought I would mention that my mum and my sister did not get positive tests till they were 3 and 4 months pregnant respectively - it does happen. I have been told that if I ever felt that I was pg and no af to go to gp for blood test - the hcg appears in your blood stream way before it appears in urine sample. I hope that you can come back with good news for us soon.

I was nearly TWO WEEKS late (for a 28 day cycle) when I finally got BP with DS. My cycle was on average about 30 days though so 1.5 weeks late is about right.

Fingers crossed for you!

Morning. Am absolutely devastated. AF arrived this morning. 4 days late.

Am starting to get v. worried as we have been trying for about 6 months now, and making sure we pinpoint the most fertile days, but nothing is happening.....I am trying not to give up hope, and I know that it takes some people much longer, but I cant help feeling worried....

I should add: am ttc for the first time, so quite new to this game!! Need some encouragement, as am starting to lose hope...

Sorry af arrived. Have you joined one of the threads on here, the other ladies will give you good support through the ups and downs. I also found this website good for pinpointing ovulation

www.fertilityfriend.com

Good Luck

Have been trying to find a relevant thread, but not sure if I'm searching properly- is there a specific thread for people ttc for the first time?

tess01 · 10/06/2007 15:21

there was a thread specifically for first timers but doesnt seem as popular. I do no that they have just started a july thread off, it might feel less daunting to join a smaller group. Good luck

tess01 · 10/06/2007 15:23

ttc july - time to try again

spud01 · 10/06/2007 16:42

Hi evergrounded. Sorry AF arrived, I know how hard it is, it took 18 months to get DS and I had a few months where i really thought we might have done it and then AF arrived. When we did conceive it was on holiday where we were so relaxed and just enjoying ourselves and not concentrating on trying. There are loads of different TTC threads (trying to conceive), and a lot of ladies who have been trying for months or years, so you will get a lot of support and have fun with them too. Really hope it happens for you soon.
