10 MIU 'dip' test. very faint line. 4 days late. am i pregnant?

my period was due on tuesday, i did a boots own brand test monday and tuesday negative.
got some 10 MIU tests on ebay, from a clinic, done a few and they were complete negatives, but this morning got a faint line (stupidly faint, like can barely see it) did another one when i got in this evening, and same line again. does this mean im pregnant? according to the instructions we normally have about 5 MIU, so does this mean thats all its picking up as its so so faint? surely this long after period due it should show up as a normal line?
im sooo confused!

can you test again with a completely different test?

apparently while it is possible to have a false negative result, its not possible to have a false positive

so if its positive, its positive, however early days, so long as you're reading the test correctly.

The one step tests do often have a very very faint line that can only be seen with squinting and holding up tp the light etc etc, i think its where the dye is.

It could be a bfp but i personalyl wouldnt trust them.

I use the one step tests and have 2 sat on my window sill at the mo with squinty faint lines on that i keep examining.. i feel your pain !

lol, i have three! i dug out the ones from earlier in the week and def no line... so i just dont know!

I always get SUPER faint lines on cheapie tests ... Doesn't mean you're not pg though! I'd say try another brand if possible!

Same here as monkeynuts - I got super faint lines on 10miu dip tests but a clear positive on a clearblue digital which is supposed to only go positive at 50miu

i am going to wait till tomorrow and test again, i'm only 10 dpo though so possibly to early to know.

Maybe you could try one of those new fangled first response things ?

I never believed the pink/blue line ones and so ended up doing loads (false economy) best one i have used is clearblue , the one that says Pregnant, or not pregnant, fool proof really !

guess what, def pregnant.
line came up after a couple of seconds.. still faint but much clearer than dip tests.
so WorzselMummage buy a first responce, its worth the money. bogof in boots atm.

Due 31st i believe although i am not 100% convinced i am pregnant yet, will pop to boots later and buy a FR (or two) if that come up positive in the morning i shall definatly be joining you in the antenatal bit.

We've been trying 2 and a half years with a mmc along the way, i dont think i'm going to exhale untill i'm in labour.

have you worked out your due date yet ?

Well the First response was faint faint faint, almost negative.

I guess its a waiting game now.
