Could saved urine cause a false positive at 10dpo?

10dpo today. Was waiting for tests to arrive so kept my smu from around 11am today and dipped around 7.30pm. Dipped 2 tests and 2 lines appeared within 5 minutes on both the tests. Also tested evening urine only a 3 hour hold and this was negative. Has anyone kept their urine for hours, tested and got a false positive?! Trying not to get my hopes up x

Sounds like a positive to me, I did that with a test and got a positive.

Thank you so much for your reply - I am on my 3rd round of letrozole after 3 years of ttc so praying this is our time🙏 fingers crossed tomorrow morning is positive! Google is saying if urine left it can react with proteins etc and cause false positives but unlikely they would appear within 5 mins x

I can't see that it would cause a false positive on two tests.

Test again in the morning but I bet it's positive 😁

Tested with fmu and that was negative but smu and this afternoon tests all showing a line🙏✨️ praying this one sticks🥹

Have you tried a FRER? They are so much more sensitive and as you're early DPO you might have a clearer result.
