Tips for understanding ovulation signs when trying to conceive with irregular cycles

Hi all, just starting TTC, 2nd month.

First month I didn’t use ovulation tests, my discharge changes constantly so I’m struggling to understand when I’m actually fertile!

My OPK’s have currently been negative, I’m currently on cycle day 17. My cycles are irregular, shortest has been 28 days and longest has been 38 days. More recently, they’ve been between 30-33 though.

My discharge (sorry TMI) is either thick and cloudy and stretchy, or thin and watery and stretchy, seems to hover between the two throughout my cycle. Very hard to understand.

Does anyone have any tips/wise words for me please?!

You would only know really by doing tests and bbt but I never have done my temp I just use opks. Pcos here trying for 4yrs xx

With irregular periods I ovulated day 58 or something in June ridiculous

Solidarity in the same boat as both of you. I’ve only had three periods this year so makes it very hard TTC.
I did however, conceive my first, we DTD the day after my period finished so I must have ovulated very soon after.
this time round I’m loosely looking at opk, seeing when my mucus is egg white, which is always obvious since coming off the mini pill as it globs (sorry), if I go a few cycles with no luck I may start taking my temp.
doesn’t help with pmos, endo, fibroids, hypothyroidism 😅
