Advice on blood results and private scan

Advice needed please. We’ve been TTC for baby number 2 for 12 months now and no joy although I think I had a chemical in February. One day of positive tests and then AF showed up.

I’ve recently had my bloods done with the doctor and rang reception for the results. Full blood count and thyroid came back ‘normal’ and for serum progesterone and ferritin, the doctor had put ‘routine telephone appointment’ so no results were given. Has anyone had similar experience and what this might mean please?

I also have a large subserosal fibroid picked up in my first pregnancy so the GP has also referred me for an ultrasound but it’s going to take 10-11 months through the NHS. Has anyone got any experience of going private and if it’s worth it to speed things up? I’ve been looking at fertility clinics like ‘Create’ but really only want the scan at this point, we’re not at a point of considering IVF. Im 37 this year so would like to keep things moving rather than delaying.

I had a private scan when the wait was a long time on the nhs. I was told I had pcos and when the private scan company passed this on to my gp I had my nhs scan moved forward and was then seen fairly quickly

It was through a private scan clinic. Who offer pregnancy scans. They also had well woman scans where they do an internal scan which is what I had. They now also do blood test too. I think lots of pregnancy scans places offer well woman scans. Not sure if everywhere then contacts your gp but I was lucky that mine did. Meant I got answers faster and went on to have my son.

Hi! I sent the report/images to my GP myself (my private scans were through an IVF clinic abroad) through an econsult and they accepted them to put me on a waiting list for a hysteroscopy. That also took a while though but I still think a private scan could be worth it. I would probably go with a private doctor or fertility clinic not a place that specialises in pregnancy scans just because they might not be as familiar with looking out for lining, polyps etc if 99% of what they do is pregnancy scans. Just a thought though.

The place I went to doesn’t just specialise in pregnancy scans. That’s just how I knew about them. I went to this place imaginatal. They have several scan places in the UK they offer lots of different scans and they also have blood test options too. The one I went to they were brilliant and provided me with lots of information
