You don't really need a multi vitamin if you have a proper diet. You'd be better off dropping it and maintaining a regular cycle if you are TTC.

Why would a multi vitamin mess up your cycle??

Iambeat · 17/07/2026 12:28

ive been burnt out with a child that doesn’t sleep well (multiple nights of no sleep, months) and the doctor recommended I try adding this in addition to diet as I try to recover / get through. We are also ttc. Some Reviews of various conception multi vitamins incl pregnacare and proceive have advised it delayed cycles. I would like to avoid this. To be clear - im asking if anyone is using a multivitamin that they would recommend that has not interfered with their cycle. that’s it basically. Thank you

@Iambeat- I had a cycle delay with pregnancare, I found the seven seas TTC absolutely fine, though I couldn't find the same ones this time around. I'm currently on Bassetts pregnancy plus gummies and added vitamin D. All fine cycle wise (and delicious!)

Sorry you're so sleep deprived. It's really rough.

I'm unsure why my comment has been hidden! I promise it wasn't anything unkind.. I'll try again!

The Bassetts ones are the ones I'm using now and no issues at all with my cycle. I have also used seven seas in the past! The pregnacare ones did indeed make my cycle longer. Good luck and I'm sorry things are so tough. 😞

Zita west is an amazing brand I swear by , pregnacare absolutely ruined my cycles

Just avoid Pregnacare. And how are you going to cope with a newborn if your first child doesnt sleep well 😂😂 thats my main reason to not have another, 2 years of disrupted nights no way I can face that again 😂

Thanks. DP has agreed to additional childcare and reducing my hours should another one be possible. I suspect we will be one and done however (but not through choice).
