Been trying for 7 months, second baby. Honestly no advice, I’ve been doing exactly the same as everyone else. Tracking ovulation has definitely helped. Taking the test in the middle of the day after not drinking for a couple hours and just trying to be as chilled out as possible. I know easier said than done. Wishing you all the best x

Moominmamato3 · 16/07/2026 17:41

@Bibs23456 congratulations! So pleased for you and wishing you all the best that everything goes smoothly x

@TheUniqueMember here’s hoping we can resist testing too early.

@Slippedonmahbeans00 if you do end up testing just remember it would be still early depending what day you test

Slippedonmahbeans00 · 16/07/2026 18:14

@Moominmamato3 yeah im only 3dpo at the moment. So minimum a week to wait and even then thats early! I am rather impatient lol

I stupidly tested this morning 8 or 9 dpo and nothing there. I know it's early and dno why I did it!

Slippedonmahbeans00 · 17/07/2026 07:13

@lm1986 its okay, we all do it, im day 4dpo so know i cant test yet. But desperate to! You aren't out yet!!! Ive got some cheapies if I feel the need and saved the good ones/digital etc for closer to the time xx

OP posts:
lm1986 · 17/07/2026 07:15

Its because im symptom spotting everything, vertigo when I wake up, nausea and headaches all.which are probably just progesterone but didnt get them last month! Bloody nightmare!

Moominmamato3 · 17/07/2026 14:05

@lm1986 we all do it but I wouldn’t lose hope as you say it was early. I think I end up testing early because it’s something tangible to do rather than just symptom spot if that makes sense.

Slippedonmahbeans00 · 17/07/2026 18:45

@lm1986 @Moominmamato3
I agree, I don't think we are built to wait especially over something so exciting/nerve wracking. I find myself doing things as if I were pregnant already! Ie careful of my tummy what i eat etc. Do you guys do that?

Hi all ~ kept myself busy and distracted today which is good but did order some tests which will be here tomorrow so I can test when I’m back from holiday next weekend. I won’t be tempted to test Monday before we go as I’ll only be 6dpo at that point so way too early.

Has anyone else caved and tested again?

@Slippedonmahbeans00 I do try and be careful of what I’m eating and try and avoid my bath being too hot as I love them really really hot, luckily the heat is helping with that atm as I don’t feel like sitting in a boiling bath right now!

Or4nge · 19/07/2026 08:37

Hi ladies, hoping some of the luck going around this thread might rub off on me.
I think I’m either 13,12 or 11pm today. Did a Clearblue early test on Friday at 11,10 or 9 dpo and bfn.
Background: Have one daughter, nearly 5 years old, from a previous marriage. Have a complex hormonal disorder called Non Classic Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia than among other things affects cycles and ovulation. With my current husband, we have had four mc, have no hope of being able to conceive so are not trying, but have regular enough sex that it’s usually within my fertile window (or what I think is my fertile window) every month.
I think we dtd either day before, two days before, or on day or ovulation (it was a Sunday and a Wednesday and I think I O’d Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday).
posting this from bed, in all likelihood I’ll go to the loo in a second and AF will turn up but I’m hoping that my unusual breast soreness (both instead of only one) and size means something.
😀

lm1986 · 19/07/2026 08:44

I caved and tested think 10dpo was tracking through strips. Bfn so reckon im out! Used easy at home which ive been told our good to test early!

Or4nge · 19/07/2026 09:20

Im1986, with my daughter, I used one of those internal monitoring devices to confirm ovulation after the fact, and I didn’t get a positive test until 12dpo with her. 9-10dpo is when the vast majority of implantations occur and it takes up to 48hrs for hcg to be detectable so any bfn test taken before 12dpo cannot be counted as absolute. Keep your chin up!

Slippedonmahbeans00 · 19/07/2026 10:49

@Moominmamato3 well I hope you have a lovely holiday! Great distraction. Going anywhere nice?

@Or4nge that does sound stressful! Ive never heard of the internal test may I ask what thats called?
@lm1986 don't give up hope yet. Ive read some people on here didn't get it until like 14 or 15dpo. I know its hard but it can all change in 48 hrs.

I really want to test now but I don't know why im only 6dpo so would be negative anyway! Its a shame we cant just sleep for two weeks after ovulation!!!
Fingers crossed 🤞 and a flourish of baby dust ✨️

@Slippedonmahbeans00 We are off to Center Parcs, we booked it when I was pregnant earlier in the year so didn’t want to get on a plane. Plus with the big age gaps between our three I find there is something for each of them to do alongside the swimming so just easier.

@lm1986 I’m pretty sure with all of mine I didn’t get anything until 12dpo, definitely with my last it was really close to my period even with early detection tests.

@Or4nge sending positive thoughts! When you planning to test again?

5dpo for me, went to car boot and saw the cutest Winnie the Pooh sketches so picked them up in the hope I will soon be planning a nursery!

Slippedonmahbeans00 · 19/07/2026 13:48

@Moominmamato3 we are off to haven for similar reasons with the ages! I know what you mean though I have a pushchair already saved on my phone! Lol x

Hey ladies, I’ll join you. I’m currently 4dpo, cycle 8 ttc after a mmc in November. So we’ve officially been trying almost a year now 😢 GP phone appointment is on Thursday to discuss so I’m hoping it scares my body into conceiving lmao 🤣

Moominmamato3 · 19/07/2026 16:13

@Slippedonmahbeans00 glad I’m not the only one haha I’m hoping positive thoughts may help!

Hi @Vixminator I think I was on a thread with you last month? Sorry if I’ve mixed you up with another poster. Fingers crossed for you that you get a positive soon.

Slippedonmahbeans00 · 19/07/2026 17:46

@Vixminator welcome! Im sorry to hear about the MMC, sending positive thoughts and baby dust your way!!! I hope the phone call goes well xxx

@Moominmamato3yes we were! Thank you, fingers crossed you have a successful cycle too 🤞

@Slippedonmahbeans00 thank you, I’m 42 so time isn’t on our side but we’re still hopeful 😁

Or4nge · 19/07/2026 21:08

@Slippedonmahbeans00 its called ovusense. It confirms rather than predicts, it’s for people with complex endocrinologies like myself but can be used by those without to help track dpo.

@Moominmamato3 only if my period doesn’t come by Friday this week. Waste of money otherwise, with how my luck goes.

TheUniqueMember · 20/07/2026 12:17

6dpo today. Sorry if this is TMI but I have never been so gassy and bloated in my life, my stomach feels so heavy and uncomfortable.

Or4nge · 20/07/2026 13:31

@TheUniqueMember sorry about your bloating! That sounds uncomfortable 😣
It’s really worth trying to remember (take it from someone who did this whole merry go round for years, years ago) that until implantation symptoms physically cannot be to do with pregnancy. It’s just not scientifically possible. So we have to remember (I know it’s super hard) that “weird” symptoms before about 10-12dpo are only to do with how strong of a progesterone response your body’s having to surpassing ovulation.
I say this in the kindest possible way, I’m absolutely not trying to rain on your parade - sometimes it helps though to put things in perspective because we do tend to obsess during the TWW.

On the subject of bloating, have you tried Wild Dose? I’ve been using it recently and it does temper it somewhat. 😊

Oh, I certainly know it's not possible to be related to pregnancy. You're not raining on my parade - I think if you're ttc it's likely common knowledge you won't feel pregnancy symptoms until 1 or 2+ weeks after conception.

It's just weird how I have never felt this intensity before (other than occasional light bloating) 😳 and I wanted to post something!😅

No, I haven't tried that but thanks for the suggestion.
