After 9 months of trying, I had a HyCoSy this cycle and would love to hear any positive success stories to maybe help quell my overthinking in the TWW.
We’ve been TTC for 9 months with zero success. I’ve literally just turned 37. Paid privately for fertility tests at the 6 month mark, all of which came back very positive for both me & DH. They suggested a HyCoSy if I hadn’t conceived in the next ‘2-3 months’ so, after another 2 failed cycles, I paid privately for the procedure this month, which fell on CD14.
The procedure was pretty uncomfortable, and took about 35 minutes as I had a bit of a blockage in one tube (a friend pointed out that I’d basically had a uterine jet wash and…fair 😆), so it took a bit longer, required more pressure and hurt a fair bit more than most. Doctor and nurse were fab though, and it was ‘just’ severe period cramping pains so bearable.
They managed to clear the blockage and confirmed I had a follicle pretty much ready to go. I normally ovulate on CD19/20, but something (not sure if it was the HyCoSy or lifestyle changes) meant I ended up ovulating much earlier this month, on CD17. Managed to DTD the day before & the day of ovulation, as was a bit tender for 36 hours post HyCoSy, so hoping that’ll do the trick and we’ll get lucky this time.
Now in the TWW, would love to hear anyone’s successes post procedure!
