8DP, stark white negative. Feel like I’m out even though so early!!

So I’m TTC baby number 2 , and this is our first cycle trying. Felt like we nailed the dates to dtd, and felt super hopeful as we conceived first time with baby number 1. Tested today at 8dpo and it’s a stark white negative, despite all the squinting there is defo no line! I know I’m still super early, but I got my first positive at this stage with my daughter so I’m feeling despondent and already like I’m out. Any hopeful stories on a very negative 8dpo test which was positive a bit later? I’m driving myself nuts testing and should defo stop for a while, but if you know you know, it’s easier said that done lol.

It is so so hard.

8dpo might not be accurate but if it is can you focus on your next cycle?

On cycle day one this month I listed everything I want to achieve before my next period and it helped (proofread my friend’s masters novel really well and give feedback, exercise most days, journal everyday.)

i had a miscarriage in April and it was horrible so i get the desperation to be pregnant to make everything feel ok

Don’t give up hope just yet, you still have nearly a week to go even if you ovulated exactly when you thought you did.
When I was trying for DC2 I tested with those strip tests every day from about CD7 and didn’t get a squinter until about CD12. It progressed rapidly once there but was definitely negative up until then.

I'm also TTC number 2, I think I'm 9dpo and I had a negative this morning too. I'm not giving up hope for this cycle until my period actually arrives though - and for you at 8dpo implantation might not have even happened yet. When is your period due?

8dpo is very early - average implantation takes place between day 6-12 and then it can take a day or so for hcg to rise high enough to be picked up. I had a stark white at 10dpo and then positive digitals from 12dpo onwards. Your best bet is to just test again in a few days!

Yeah you’re right, it’s so early still I just hoped I’d see a wee shadow of a line at least but I’ll try and remain hopeful! I’m due on Monday, so I’m still six days away from then and I know most tests don’t show up that early 🙏

Yep another negative for me too at 10dpo, also thinking I’m out 😔 had a pretty strong positive with my first born by this stage! Soo disappointed, I have stared at the non existent second lining trying to will it into existence for ages this morning lol

@MrsO92ahh I'm sorry, I've also been staring at a lot of tests trying to will a second line. I also got lucky first time with my first - I think logically I knew it probably wouldn't be the same again but it doesn't stop you hoping.

@MrsO92that’s is what my FRER looked like at 10dpo, just fyi! Didn’t test at 11, positive Clear Blue digital at 12 🤷🏻‍♀️
