Seeking a fertility specialist for a full work-up before IVF

Hello,

We have the chance to have IVF on the NHS. Been trying for 2 years with v low sperm count.

I however am not convinced they have done a full work up and looked at everything to ensure that 1) we definitely need IVF and there isn’t something that can be done to help natural conception or whether less invasive procedures like IUI might work and 2) that they have looked at everything to make sure IVF has the best chance of success (i.e is there something I should be doing/ taking to enhance our success)

We are working with a urologist (Dr Ramsay) for my husbands low sperm count to make sure we have covered everything from that side of things and I’m confident we will get a full work up done on that side.

From my side the bloods, pelvic scans and HSG look ok (despite slightly low AMH) but I’m wondering if there is a brilliant fertility specialist out there who can also do a full work up for me as well to help us?

Does anyone know a brilliant fertility specialist who can do a full work up and provide fertility consultation without necessarily offering treatment?

Thanks all

Have a look at IVF Matters on Harley Street. They can do all the tests you need and Dr Koita is lovely. Www.ivfmatters.co.uk

If the problem is your DH’s sperm count, ditch the idea of IUI. That’s what I was told by a lovely lady called Dr Vivienne Hall.
