Experiences of the mini pill or injection after natural tracking

Hey!

I haven’t been any contraception for about 5 years, I have two children and know that we likely won’t have any more or at least for a while so it seems a good idea to get back on some contraception.
However I see so many things about side effects and just wondered what people’s experiences are with the mini pill or injection?
I get migraines occasionally so progesterone only. I feel nervous about something messing with my hormones after natural tracking for so long. After stopping breastfeeding/postpartum I have felt a bit hormonally all over the place so don’t want anything to impact me.

Would love to hear experiences! Seems I can only find negatives about contraceptives and their side effects/dangers.

I am awaiting an appointment but it’s pretty long winded to get one as my GP surgery doesnt offer this advice so whilst I wait for an appointment with the sexual health clinic I wanted to get some insight!

thank you ☺️

Mini pill was awful for me. Constant spotting, no sex drive and a lot of anxiety and panic attacks. Ymmv but if you try it watch out for those is my advice.
