Half a pink line on frer pregnancy test?

Hi
I’ve taken a test this morning and half a strong pink line came up immediately. Does anyone have any experience with this? I’m guessing the test is faulty, but I thought to have a pink line meant hcg is present? Pic attached but will need to wait for clearance I assume. Thanks.

My guess is the test is faulty and only has half a test line. BUT for pink to appear there is most likely HCG. More tests ASAP!
