Shortening cycles at 35 while breastfeeding and TTC, should I see GP?

Good morning.

Asking for advice and if anybody has been in a similar boat. I'm 35, for the past year starting at 34, I had noticed my cycles becoming more irregular and short. Some months still 26 or 27 days which was my average before, but some as short as 24 or 23, my last one was only 22 days! I have been TTC for 3 months, I know not that long, but have been doing some research and think I may have low progesterone which worries me.

I am still breastfeeding a 2 year old which may be a factor, but I breastfed my other children when they were toddlers and my cycle was more regular. The only other change in lifestyle was that i started working night shifts every week a couple of months before my cycles changed (I still do), not sure if that can affect it.

I'm really worried it could be peri-menopause. I've had no hot flushes to my knowledge, or weight gain, but I am always tired. My mum had a baby at 44 and was pregnant twice at 43, and she didn't get irregular periods until after she gave birth, then went through full menopause around 46/47. Her sisters were also late 40s. Do you think it's worth a trip to the doctor?
