How long to wait before TTC after taking terbinafine tablets?

Hi,

I am thinking about starting to ttc and just had a question that I hope someone has faced before!!

I took terbinafine tablets for a fungal nail from June last year to January this year. I know it isn't advised to take during pregnancy and a few years back when I first thought about taking it, I was advised to wait two to three months after stopping before ttc.

I spoke to a Dr recently and asked him just in case advice had changed and he said he didn't really know how long to wait.

Has anyone TTC after taking terbinafine and if so, how long did you wait?

I should imagine after 2 or 3 months they would be completely out of your system is there any information on the enclosed leaflet?
im surprised your fungal nail cleared after just 6 months of taking them as I had to take for a whole year until it'd completely cleared and had completely new healthy nail growth.

I didn't think to check the information leaflet and I don't have any left anymore 🫠 maybe I can find a copy of the leaflet online somewhere!

I still can't get over the transformation 😂 it was only on a couple of the smaller nails so not sure if that's why it cleared after 6 months but I had a podiatry appointment and she confirmed that they looked like they were fine and that the infection had cleared up!
