How to track fertile window when I’ve skipped a period?

As the title suggests… I am on cycle day 53, my period is 20 days late according to the Flo app. I have always had very regular periods but seem to have skipped one, I thought I might have ovulated at the end of Feb due to tracking cmu but didn’t actually use ovulation strips or basal temp.

I am considering going to the GP, will they be able to tell me if I have ovulated? This has never happened to me before and I’m a bit concerned as I am TTC and have been for about 4 months now.

I assume you've done a pregnancy test just to rule that out? It's not that unusual to have an occasional cycle in which you either ovulate very late (so your period is very late too) or you don't ovulate at all, in which case eventually your body will give up and you'll usually have some sort of bleed, which is often a bit lighter than a proper period (because the womb lining did not build up as much) and start again. It's confusing when you are ttc though. If you did ovulate late at the end of Feb then you should have a period fairly soon. FWIW I charted properly for years and had quite a lot of cycles of around 40 days and a couple of 50-60. My cycles actually got a lot more regular after my first child.

@arionater yes sorry I should have said I have done lots of tests, all negative!! I have a 3yo DD and got pregnant the first cycle trying with her. I came off the pill last year, thinking it would be nice to have a 3 year age gap, and now worry I should have done it sooner, I wrongly assumed I’d conceive quickly again. Which is my own silly fault 😔
