Anyone want to join?

Anyone?
I'm past the first hurdle today of FMU. Have resisted.
Tomorrow is possibly 7dpo so will be harder.
Had a bit of twinging yesterday. I have had that some months though and it's been nothing.

I'm 6dpo today too. Was planning to hold out until the middle/end of next week. I have a hen do this weekend which will be good to keep me distracted!

PennyPencils · 05/03/2026 19:52

Oh hi! Thanks for joining @PickleThePenguin
Keeping busy is key!
How long have you been TTC?
I have DDs 19 and 3 and been TTC for another for somewhere between 18 and 24 months.
This is my first month taking clomid. Trying not to expect too much from it.

@PennyPencils We started at end of 2024 for our first, unfortunately had 2 loses last year, so just hoping for the next one to stick.

Gosh quite an age gap between your first two! Hopefully this will be the month that no.3 is on the way!

PennyPencils · 06/03/2026 08:57

@PickleThePenguin ah sorry to hear that.
I have lost two singleton and one twin pregnancy in that time too. Rough..
But not been pregnant now since April hence the clomid.
Fingers crossed for us both. I managed to not test today. Proud of myself 😎

@PennyPencils Oh I'm so sorry, you have experience loses too. I so want to be pregnant but know if I do get pregnant I'm going to be really nervous.

Well done on not testing!

PennyPencils · 06/03/2026 14:34

@PickleThePenguin that's it. After three losses I have to really try not to be negative. I'm always hopeful but that feeling of it's too good to be true is there.

7 or 8 dpo and bfn for me. Don't feel the twinges I know from previous pregnancies so I'm not expecting it this month.

Hello! I’m 6dpo today so close behind. @PennyPencils youre still too early to get a BFP I think? I thought 9dpo was the absolute earliest possible? I’ve also had many losses and always got a very faint line at 10 and then a clear one at 11.

So I’m planning to test on Wednesday…it’s dragged so much!

PennyPencils · 07/03/2026 07:29

Hi @BurningOutt yes I know I shouldn't count myself out and I wish I could tell myself that sometimes there's no symptoms but with chemicals, full term pregnancy (DD) and the miscarriages it's always a faint hint by 7dpo even if its almost not visible to the eye.
So not impossible but unlikely, I think for me this month.
How long have you been TTC? Is this for your first? X

@PennyPencils I’m ttc dc3! This is cycle 1 for me in this round of trying. I had 3mcs in 2024 and we stopped but decided to give it a last go (I’ve just turned 39). Other kids are 7 and 5.

PennyPencils · 07/03/2026 07:58

@BurningOutt ah lovely. I have DD19 and I had my DD3 in 2022 and started TTC again start of 24. I'm 42 now. My cut off is this last three months. So three rounds of clomid then I'll call it a day.

BurningOutt · 07/03/2026 08:10

Good luck @PennyPencils! Are you being monitored? How many follicles did you have? I had Letrozole this cycle (so I could time some medication) and had 3 mature ones, which was what my doctor was looking for. Still only a 35% chance of pregnancy due to likely egg quality.

Id previously set myself a cut off of 40, but I’d have to conceive this cycle or next to squeeze a baby in, so will probably extend it a bit. It’s harder to justify the risks etc when you’ve already got kids I think.

PennyPencils · 07/03/2026 08:45

@BurningOutt no, I'm not being monitored, he just gave me the prescription and sent me off. But that's ok. I feel like it's unlikely now anyway so the clomid is a last boost before I turn in.
41 was my cut off but i was getting pregnant quickly after each miscarriage then nothing since april so i wanted to try one last pregnancy then I'm out. But that's gone on too long now, and I'm lucky to have the girls i do so I won't be too sad.

BFN at 8/9 dpo today.

OP posts:
BurningOutt · 08/03/2026 11:28

Sorry @PennyPencils but imo it’s too early to test anyway! Do you reckon you could wait 48 hours before trying again?

whoopthedaisy · 08/03/2026 11:34

@PennyPencils negative test at 7 dpo here, so with you on the early testing train! I think it's a good thing though - have had chemicals in the past & they tested positive super early. Apparently the speed of embryo development can impact the viability.

PennyPencils · 08/03/2026 18:21

@BurningOutt I know. I never have neen able to help myself though as I've seen early every time I've been pregnant.

Yes @whoopthedaisy It's helpful for me to see if I've ovulated and sperm has met the egg so know what bit it fails at. Not that it changes anything but it's less wondering.
Good luck to you this month

@PennyPencils if you have recurrent chemical pregnancys there's new studies that show medical management can help. I've totally lost the thread I saw it mentioned on, but something about helping build a hospitable environment - if its recurrent it's not always chromosomal apparently. Just mentioning in case it helps. 💐

PickleThePenguin · 09/03/2026 17:13

Looks like I'm out, temp dropped and I've started bleeding/spotting. I'm holding onto a glimmer of hope still, but think that's just wishful thinking as that's not ever happened in previous pregnancies. Not going to bother wasting a test at this point.

PennyPencils · 09/03/2026 20:53

@PickleThePenguin oh no. Well temps can fluctuate for all sorts of reasons. I used to track BBT and the worst looking month was the month I was pregnant with my last child.
I'm confident from all the BFNs and no symptoms whatsoever that I'll have AF by the end of the week.
