Any experience of implantation bleeding?

I am day 3 of very light pink discharge when I should be due my period. I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks at Christmas, waited on period, then TTC at soonest ovulation last month. My cycle has been a bit off because of the miscarriage (my last period was very long). As my period is due now, pregnancy tests should be ok, but they are all negative. I could have ovulated later than expected. Anyone else experienced implantation bleeding? Just waiting it out now to see if it turns into a full period…

Yes, it was like the first day of a period that never took off.

I had it , or something like it with all 3 of mine at around maybe 5-6 weeks approx - with 2 of them I had an early pregnancy scan as I’d got my self very worked up - it was like the start of a very light period but sporadic for a few days - light but enough to worry me. All was well and it went away completely. Hoping for you OP

Yes it happened around CD23 was light pink when I wiped. Nothing to fill a pad. Positive test a few days later.

Thanks all. Still testing negative but no period yet. Don’t want to get my hopes up but the wait is hard! 🫣

If you have experienced implantation bleeding, it can take a few days for hcg levels to begin to rise enough to show on a test.

I’m on day 3 of what could be implantation bleeding (or an extremely light period)…. Will test again in a few days!

Just for my experience... (which I'm not sure is particularly reassuring but hopefully helps in some way).

I'm currently on my 5th pregnancy. My first pregnancy was 10 years ago and was successful. I didn't have any bleeding at all during that pregnancy.

Last year, I was pregnant 3 times. All sadly ended in fairly early losses. But with each of them, I experienced a bit of spotting around implantation. Two of those pregnancies had quite a lot of bleeding (to the point I thought it was a period).

I'm currently pregnant again, and like the other times - I had some spotting at 7dpo and 9dpo. Both of those spotting incidents occured after sex. It might not have been implantation bleeding, but may have just been a symptom of progesterone and sex irritating my cervix. Who knows.

This pregnancy, like I said, spotting after sex at 7dpo and 9dpo and it wasn't until 13dpo that I got a positive test I could trust. I could see faint lines on tests earlier but wasn't sure if they were evap lines or not.

Congratulations on your pregnancy, and I’m sorry for your past losses. Can I ask how long your implantation bleeding went on for each time, if you can remember?

Really varied @Featherlemon - and obviously I'm not sure if the early bleeding in two of the pregnancies were just a sign that things weren't going well or not. And if I'm honest, I think that's the hardest thing with early pregnancy bleeding - sometimes women bleed and its absolutely fine and normal. Sometimes women bleed and it's not.

But if it helps, with the two losses, the early bleeding always started with early spotting - just noticable when wiping. And then progressed into what I'd call a light period that lasted 5 days.

With the last pregnancy and this one, I only had spotting around when implantation was likely to have happened after sex - so I'd notice some blood after sex, again, when wiping but nothing after that. And it didn't progress into anything else.

An update: it turned into a period! Ah well. Try again next month!
