Im almost 41 so feel like time isn’t on my side

all test have come back fine so ‘unexplained’
i have suggested ivf next year but dh needs some persuasion.

anyone want to keep in touch this year and hopefully get our bfps in 2026?

Sorry to hear you are struggling. I started trying September 2024. One chemical pregnancy a year ago and nothing since! Starting to get a bit worried but equally trying to stay positive. I’m trying to lose a bit of weight in the hope that will help me.

i haven’t had any tests yet but that will be the next step

Janey3090 · 20/01/2026 13:32

Yes please! Been TTC since June 24, had an early MC in July 25 but nothing else. For reference my DD (now 3) took me 18 months to conceive, so I'm quite used to it taking a long time!

Currently doing ovulation induction as it's been found I rarely ovulate, and my AMH is on the lower side for my age. 3 days post ovulation but not feeling hopeful this cycle. I think I just don't ever expect to see a positive test again sadly! x

Hi, sorry you’re all in this boat 🩷
I started trying may 2024, had an ectopic 3 months in and sadly lost right tube.
mine and my partners tests since have all been fine, including a hycosy scan that showed my remaining tube is ok but starting to lose hope a little bit of things happening naturally. GP has sent a fertility referral on the basis of trying 1yr+ with one tube, hoping it’s accepted but aware of long waits where we are
xxx

Pinkponyclub26 · 22/01/2026 07:44

Hi to all 👋
I did an AMH test online and it came back 15.1 which is average, but good for my age.
my gp says it’s probably egg quality due to my age and to keep trying
im trying to keep upbeat and not worry about it too much but it sometimes gets me down and I wonder if it’s not going to happen for us.
i have older children from my previous marriage, dh has none of his own.

ive done acupuncture last year for 12 weeks, while it was good, no success pregnancy wise

@Percy15 im being so strict this year with sugar as in chocolate/cake/biscuits and fizzy drinks and going to try this whole year not to touch them. Already down 3lbs since new year.

I hope everyone gets their positives this year 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Hi, sorry to hear about your ectopic. I had one too and lost a tube. Took me a year to conceive after that but I ended up with 5 children and multiple miscarriages. So just keep trying and try not to be stressed. As simplistic as it sounds, once I stopped stressing I fell pregnant.

Hey, hoping I can join! Sorry to hear of everyone’s stories, it’s so rubbish isn’t it. We started ttc September 23, no luck whatsoever and all tests were coming back ‘normal’ so last year started IVF. Had 3 transfers in total, 2 failed and one ended in MMC at 7 weeks. I’m having a hysteroscopy end of next month and really hoping to get some answers (although I’m not holding my breath) before we move ahead with next transfer, joy! Here’s hoping 2026 is our year 🤞

Figtree11 · 22/01/2026 21:31

Hello, hoping to join too! I started TTC July 23. I’ve had 4 missed miscarriages in that time. A few different reasons for the losses but no one clear answer so back to TTC on the advice of my recurrent miscarriage consultant and different medications. But feeling very negative about it & just can’t imagine it working out

Moosey898 · 23/01/2026 11:06

Hoping I can join too.

First time trying to start a family was back in 2017, 2.5 years later got pregnant but ended in missed miscarriage at 11 weeks.

Split with my husband 6 months later so had a 3 ish year hiatus from TTC and have been TTC since with my partner now for just over 3 years, have had 3 missed miscarriages between 8-10 weeks and a neonatal death at 22 weeks because of infection (they had to induce her to save me).

We will (hopefully) be starting IVF next cycle with PGT because I've been diagnosed with chromosome translocations (found out after third loss).

Definitely hoping 2026 can be a kinder year for all of us x

jenk91 · 23/01/2026 12:57

@Moosey898 im so so sorry to hear about your journey, I can’t imagine how tough. I’m pleased you at least have some sort of answer potentially now, and sending positive vibes that this is your year! 💜

Moosey898 · 23/01/2026 13:07

Thanks @jenk91 - it's weirdly reassuring starting IVF for me, it's something new and different so gives me a bit of hope. I don't expect first round to work but I have 3 rounds on the NHS so I am hopeful we may see success 🤞🏼I read somewhere "if you spend time thinking about the worst case scenario, it's only fair to spend time thinking about the best case too" and I'm trying to live by that moving forward x

Pinkponyclub26 · 26/01/2026 07:40

Hi to everyone new and everyone welcome.
so sorry to hear so many have been through tough times on their journeys ❤️

i had assumed ivf would be around £5k mark but having a proper look at fees- it’s nearer 10k where I am.
I am stating to think we may not manage to afford go and will just have to keep trying naturally. And hope for the best.

i had 2 possible chemicals early on when we started trying but since ive had nothing since, im starting to think maybe it was a batch of dodgy tests on those months.

im 6dpo today how is everyone else?

@Moosey898 I love this "if you spend time thinking about the worst case scenario, it's only fair to spend time thinking about the best case too". I say something similar all the time, that if you worry/get upset about something less than ideal that happens you have to also celebrate every small win (easier said than done). 😀

Long term TTCer currently going through IVF here as well. @Pinkponyclub26 the clinic we used in Dublin is closer to the £4000 mark plus meds and they have a satellite clinic in London for initial scans and bloods. I can't recommended them highly enough. They are called Thérapie Fertility and are very inclusive regarding age and weight as well and I believe you can part-finance it as well through them.

Pinkponyclub26 · 26/01/2026 08:00

@Waitingforday6 yes it was the meds and scans than add onto the fees I think.
I have to persuade dh first and then I will definitely look into that thank you
where are you in your ivf journey?

OP posts:
Pinkponyclub26 · 30/01/2026 08:04

I’m 10dpo and bfn this morning
still early- the only thing that’s giving me a bit of hope is I started period cramps yesterday and today and I don’t usually get cramps till the day of period
