I’ve had 3 babies and never experienced spotting before my period prior to having baby 3 (currently 14 months). For the last 6 months I have had bright red spotting for 3-5 days before AF really arrives- seems like this months it’s 6 days if AF starts at the usual time 🙁 we are actively trying for fourth and final baby now and I’m seriously stressed it’s going to hinder getting pregnant. Every other spotting post I’ve seen everyone seems to have brown spotting. Mine starts with a bright red small gush, then very light red spotting until my period really start. My luteal phase is 9/10 days not including the spotting which was the same as when I conceived my other babies. I’ve had a recent smear, and of course I’ve been reading lots about low progesterone. But again it usually mentions brown not red spotting? Just wanted to hear from anyone who has the bright red blood and hopefully positive TTC journey? I’ve also seen polyps and fibroids mentioned but I’m reluctant to go to the GP as by all accounts they won’t do anything, especially for baby 4!
