8dpo negative.. I just know I’m out this cycle

Does anyone else just know if they’re negative at 8dpo they’re not pregnant? I know it’s still very early but I just convince myself that it’s game over if I don’t see a faint line at 8dpo.
Im on cycle 4 of TTC baby no 3 and got faint positives at 8dpo on both my previous pregnancies. I’m just feeling so disheartened as I got pregnant first try both times before and now I’m on cycle 4 seeing negative tests again this month.

Hello! I’m the same - around 8 DPO and negative! I also feel it must mean I’m out this month… even though I know it’s v early still. Think there is something about trying to them ‘protect’ myself from further disappointment in thinking that’s it! With previous pregnancy I got v faint line at 9-10 DPO. Do you know for sure when you ovulated?
basically trying to say it’s still early!

Also are you using v sensitive tests? Mine wasn’t

I had a positive on 8dpo with my healthy pregnancy too. And other cycles when I got a bfn on 8dpo I thought it was over, but actually I got a positive on 10dpo and 12dpo. However, those ended up being chemicals. I've yet to see another positive that wasn't on 8dpo and actually stuck. That's not to say it doesn't happen though

Hi! Yes I’m pretty confident about the day I ovulated, I’m 9dpo today and still testing negative 😩 I think because I got positives at 8dpo on my other pregnancies it will be the same this time but I know every pregnancy is different!
I haven’t been using the early response tests because like you said I think I’m trying to protect myself. If I get negatives on an early response test then I’ll know I’m out 😫

I never tested positive before 11dpo, and I was testing every day since ovu 😂. So there is hope ladies. My tests turn positive day after implantation spotting. It all depends on implantation I guess. Hcg doesn't rise before that. But some people don't have implantation spotting at all. There's still hope beyond 8dpo.

I so get this OP, and it’s so frustrating and disappointing. Currently TTC baby no 2 having got pregnant first cycle last time and no luck so far! And I feel like you do know when it hasn’t happened and it’s gutting.

The only plus I suppose is that there’s no false hope, you know that it’s not going to happen this month without having to wait for your period to finally arrive.

Hope it happens next month for you OP. My period arrived today (knew it was coming) so I’ll be cracking open a bottle of wine tonight and hoping it happens next cycle.

El91 · 10/01/2026 20:03

Just done an early response test and think I can see the faintest line 🥹 really hoping it’s not an indent or evap!

Yeah this was the first day I saw anything. It’s an early response test though, all the less sensitive tests are still showing negative!

Hi! Yes I’ve been testing obsessively 🤣 11dpo now and the lines are slowly getting darker but still so so faint so I’m a bit worried. Also done a digital this morning but it said not pregnant 🫠 so I don’t know what to think!

Do you have any pictures of the lines? 11 DPO is still quite early!
I caved and tested again at around 9 DPO and was stark negative.

This was my test this morning. It’s an early response test though, all the other normal tests are still so so faint to the point I can hardly see them!

Fingers crossed for you!
