Hi

I’ve had two miscarriages in 2025 one at 8 weeks and one chemical at 5 weeks.

I’m booked in for fertility acupuncture and the lady has asked to see recent blood results I’ve had done.

I was told in the appointment that she thinks 9 for my day 3 FSH was too high. My GP told me this was normal so it’s got me worrying.

Does 9 still mean I can still conceive and carry a baby without miscarrying? I have a healthy 6 year old and I’m mid 30’s.

just worrying now which I know won’t help but I’m finding TTC so stressful compared to last time.

Hope someone can help as I find it all quite overwhelming.

Hiya - so sorry to hear about your miscarraige.

I just wanted to mention - I had my FSH checked with Thriva and it was 7.6. Thriva said the normal range is between 3.5-12.5 so yours seems perfectly normal 🙂

My fsh was 14 when I was 35 and even though I thought that was high I conceived easily and straightforward pregnancy.

I think it is on the cusp of being high. I had mine checked and the GP said that the NHS normal range is 2-10. I’m slightly younger than you and my FSH was 12.5 which suggests that I’m heading into perimenopause, but I still managed to get pregnant the first month of trying. I was told that FSH isn’t indicative of how long it will take you to get pregnant, but gives clues to how long you have until menopause.
